I take a book and a packet of chocolate fingers in on the rare occasion that I have a long bath. I think that's equally as disgusting but I still love it :o

Surelty the point of a bath is to relax not to clean. I've never had a bath to clean myself. I only ever do it when I have a muscle injury or am just back from a camping trip with aches and pains.
If it's a cleaning I want I'll have a shower.
In a bath you are stewing in the dirt you've just washed off.

Surely the bathroom should be all lovely and clean smelling, the smoke would get in the towels, gross.

Although I hate smoking anywhere indoors, the smell permeates everything, although perhaps it's only really noticable to a non-smoker. So in the bathroom it just seems particularly unsavory.

It's disgusting to smoke anywhere! But when I was a smoker (20 years) I smoked in the bath, in bed, in the office (1990's), on longhaul flights (early 90's) - fuck it makes me feel so sick now just thinking about it. I was a major smoking facist bitch but I had no idea - lost in my own ignorance. Smokers have very little idea of just how foul actually smoking is - it's a big part of the reason of why they are able to light up the next ciggie.
