"it shouldn't be too long now, love"

when I've rung to find out some kind of info about when my lap and dye procedure is likely to be - and when I politely probe further by saying 'sorry to be a pain, but is it likely to be weeks or months, and have you got a rough idea how long the average wait from referral is'?

Why can't they just at least put me out of my misery by being a little more straightforward?

(ok, so they don't realise I've just found out that the usual IVF NHS centre isn't doing ANY privatelyly funded IVF for at least six months and I don't think I'm up-duffed AGAIN this month and a more definitive answer might have helped me get out of the depths of despair today)

:(

No, I am not yet at that stage :(

I have just found out that I can't go to the usual IVF place locally as they are 'no longer doing any private treatment as we need to get NHS patients through first'. PRIVATE IVF will be our next step if nothing happens by DEC/JAN, as I am too old to get any NHS help (despite not actually being too old to conceive - I did conceive but it was ectopic)

So I had a meltdown and decided to phone the hospital at which I'm on the waiting list to have my block tube looked at.

To know roughly when this procedure will be happening would help me to focus on that rather than the looming childless future I can't seem to shake free of seeing.

But all they could say 'not that long' - which made me feel worse ... a momth? A year? A decade?

Anyhow, I gues it'll be this year, so I feel a bit better, and I've found a private IVF place locally now.
