AIBU?

To want to take this further with Gas Safe?

We've lived here nearly five years. House was brand new when we moved in.

Within 2 weeks of living here we had no heating for ten days over Christmas and New Year, DS2 was 8 months old and the temperatures were sub zero, but nobody was answering the phone at the HA and the call divert wasn't on so no emergency number available.

Since then we've been calling out the heating engineers continuously with heating and hot water problems.... we're talking up to 6 times a month at least three times a year.

Every year it's flown through its gas safety inspections without the merest hint of a problem.

Today they sent a manager out to take a look due to there being so many call outs.

They've only gone and condemned the heating system.

They've shut the lot down and left us with the immersion. Thankfully it's summer and we don't need heating! There are multiple components not working on the system and bits missing, safety valves not connected... the manager has no idea how it's passed and how so many engineers have dismissed our concerns and ignored so many safety failures!

So AIBU to report to Gas Safe? Multiple visits by different engineers, four safety inspections and NOTHING was picked up... the system was downright dangerous. I've had a Carbon Monoxide Detector for quite some time because I was worried about the state of the system but they wouldn't listen!

Yes i would definately report it, i work in the gas industry, the engineers involved definately need to be inspected, their sloppy work puts peoples lives in danger.

I would too, work in the industry as well and poor engineers should not be registered at all. We used to get annual inspections with Corgi but have had nothing from gas safe at all ( apart from having to pay huge license renewal fees each year)
