They look a bit like the marks you get from stinging nettles. She had a batch of them on her hand a few hours ago; these have now faded and she's got some on her feet now. She's bare-footed and been in the house with me all day (she's 2). Could it be the ball of wool she's unravelled and been messing with? Fleas???! SEagrass rug?

She's got no food allergies as far as I know. Loads on her one foot now. Think they might be itchy too. How weird.

Hand foot & mouth? (Not the thing that cattle get, common preschool virus.)

Does she have tiny sore blisters in her mouth, too? That would be the clincher.

hand foot and mouth, seems to be one of those things that most get now like chicken pox, look it up on NHS direct

just looked in her mouth. doesn't seem to be sore or blistery. the marks are exactly like stinging nettle welts. not on her trunk at all. will consult Miriam and then nhs direct i think. thanks

Don't think it's hand foot and mouth. She's not had a fever or sore throat, and the marks are on the tops of her feet, legs and hands, not palms and soles like HF&M seems to be. Hmmmmmm she seems fine in herself, but I can see they're a bit itchy. Think will take a walk to pharmacist, see what they think.

Could be urticaria ( hives ) My little girl gets them a lot and they always appear on her feet 1st.

Wot a coincidence. DD2's childminder mentioned this very thing to me today - another child she minded had it too. Are they just 'one of those things'?
