Egg allergy and MMR

When we saw the consultant a few months ago he said that it has now been proved ok to give MMR to egg allergic children unless they have had an anyphalactic reaction. I know there has been some debate on MN as lots of us have been given different advice. When I went for DD's MMR this week the nurse asked about allergies and I told her DD is allergic to egg - she said she thought DD couldn't have it at the GP clinic but checked the packet leaflet and it said the following (might not be word for word as she read it out to me and it's what I remembered). 'there is no evidence that egg protein is present in the MMR vaccination and it should be safe to offer to all infants, however some caution should be exercised in those with an anyphalactic reaction to egg' I hope this is useful to some people out there but of course if you are at all worried then do what you have to do, our LO's health and well-being is number one!
