Is it worth having? Will it pick up a dog allergy - they assure me it will Smile

Rast tests will show up an ige mediated allergy but I don't think they'll show up a non ige mediated allergy. Bottom line: if it's positive, then there's likely an allergy (not sure on false positive percentages but Google will tell you). If it's negative, then it could be a non ige allergy. Or not an allergy at all. Smile. Diarying exposures and reactions is the gold standard for diagnosis. Good luck!

Oh that's annoying

DD had a massive asthma attack on Monday & we either need to confirm or rule out dogs as a possible trigger

Poop

So it could say yes or no; but if no she could still be allergic - that will solve nothing

Thanks for replying
