Gifts for 9 month old

DD will be 9 months old at Christmas (and getting practical, things we need anyway, gifts from me and her Dad) and is the first grandchild in both families. I am already being asked what she would like for Christmas. She is changing so quickly I have no idea what she will enjoy next week, let alone in several months! So, wise mnetters, what should these very enthusiastic grandparents be buying?!

I'd ask for things she can use in a few months time, so little scooty cars (they may have a proper name but we always called them that!) a little low rocking animal, active things for as she starts to find her feet?

And books - lovely picture books you can red to her and keep.

Really nice clothes in a size or two up.

A baby walker? Ds loved the v tech one and at age 3 still plays with it when we visit grandparents where it is now kept. Scout or Violet the talking puppy are lovely as well you programme the dc name fave food etc and it sings songs to them.
