What Christmas days out / treats do you have booked?

Am so excited to be taking my son to see The Snowman Ballet! I will also book a Fc trip and looking at a Christmas play for preschoolers at our local theatre too. What have you booked?

We've got a Christmas singalong concert after school breaks up and a day @ Longleat, so excited!

DH and I are both off the week before Christmas so it will be a nice festive run up. Its a tough year this year, as my brother died, but I want to try to get in the spirit of things for the boys.

We have tickets for Disney on Ice for Christmas Eve- cannot wait! And a couple of days before we will be going to see FC at a local garden centre. DH and I always go to the cinema leading up to Christmas, although we have a concert booked so I am not sure if we will be able to do that. I also want to go to Spitalfields at some point but this will be early December so I can do some Christmas shopping. x

Ooooh Peaz we are going to Disney on Ice on Christmas Eve too! We went last year, it was really lovely.

We're going to see FC at Chessington Garden Centre.

I'm taking DS to afternoon tea at Claridges at the end of November, and then we're going to Hamleys to look at the toys, pick a decoration and probably the Lego advent calendar.

I've booked The Snowman at The Lyric Theatre in London

We will go in fancy dress to watch the new Star Wars the weekend it comes out

Ice skating at Somerset House (I signed up for the email advance release of ticekts)

Christmas market and boozy lunch with a friend on mutual day off

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland (booked big wheel, ice palace and ice skating)

It's our anniversary in December so DH and I are going to see Killer Queen at the O2

We're going to Hever Castle on 27th December to walk all the turkey down I booked tickets ahead for that too

We've booked a cabin break for New Year

It all sounds like loads, but I booked and paid for it all throughout the year as the tickets came out, so it's been done in little chunks and piled up.

Nothing booked yet but we're planning a weekend in London to go to the winter wonderland and Harrods toy department.
Was hoping to see Elf the musical but the only tickets I could find online were £100+ each and that's a tad over budget

We have booked to see The Nutcracker Ballet at a local-ish theatre, but its on November the 1st I think-a bit early but either that or going after Christmas which I dont want.<br /> <br /> Im going out with grown-up friends on 18th December, to a Murder Mystery Evening with a 3 course meal

Have booked for the Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford for 22nd December Going down to Watford on the 21st though to do shopping & staying at the Hilton Taking DD1 & going with friends too

Will also go to a pottery painting place in December to paint Christmas ornaments for the tree

Also having 3/4 friends round the first weekend of December to make real Christmas wreaths

Only thing so far is we are taking dd to see father Christmas when we go to Center Parcs in mid November. I'm not sure what else to do this year, dd will be nearly 3.

We've booked to go and see Santa at Blithbury Reindeer lodge mid Dec. I am too excited already. Very reasonable pricing, around £50 for two adults and two children and two sleigh rides. Looks magical.

Stage version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe a couple of days before Christmas
Panto a few days afterwards
Will go on a boat trip to see Santa, even though the DC no longer believe, they can flipping well indulge me on this! I need to book that actually.

Aside from that we'll do some nice days out if the weather's ok, just walks or National Trust places so nothing that needs booking .

Oh and I have a party night in London with friends in early Dec :)

We've been to Winter Wonderland,Harry Potter, Panto, Kew Gardens Lighted Walk, The Snowman, Nutcracker Ballet, Swan Lake Ballet , Father Christmas on a Steam Train...over the years.

This year hopefully I can book something festive at the IMAX then pizza.

There is no point when they get older dragging them to things

Last year DD and I went to see The Little Matchgirl at Sadlers Wells (it was gorgeous) then went for Afternoon Tea.
We go shopping with one of her friends (I'm sure she'll plan this again)

Need to look at the theatres, see what's on.

I've booked Lapland UK but in November and even that made my eyes water.

We will go to the Christmas market at the Weald and Downland museum. Dh's birthday is on 18th dec and we're going to London for the day, probably just us without the dc.

We are going to Belgium for the Christmas markets at the end of November. Went last year and it was lovely.

Booked the Santa train for mid December.

Panto tickets booked.

Will see Santa somewhere else probably. DD4 is so enchanted by him this year so I'm milking it for all its worth. She persuaded me to read her a Christmas story at bedtime today!

ALemony that's a good idea, do they have special Christmas showings or just whatever is out that year? I always want to make Christmas Eve really exciting but dh (and sometimes I am too) is usually working, not this year though!

Have you done this before, is it good? We went to the pantomine at the Georgian Theatre in Richmond last year which was fab so will probably do that again, DS is 3 so it will be his first pantomine .

Out of curiosity, has anyone here been to Lapland? I'd love to do that when the DCs are older, hopefully see the northern lights too. Is it a magical thing to do or is it just over commercialised?

We've done Lapland twice DrSausageDogand it was amazing and not over commercialised at all. I would highly recommend it but it is expensive....search thread histories for detail or PM me if it helps

Got good seats for Horrible Histories Christmas. It's been booked for quite a while too sad git I usually don't remember till September when the choice has already reduced.
