Last year, when MNHQ ran the Annual SecretSanta, I was kindly nominated by someone.
Nothing arrived at Christmas and it was completely forgotten about, until today.
With the Sun beaming down on my back and the kids in the paddling pool the postman shouted over the garden fence that he had a parcel for me!
Inside, were 3 amazing toys and the following note (it was signed off with 2 initials, that I wont put here in case of outing anyone):

"Hello,

I was supposed to send you a secret santa gift at Christmas; however unfortunately between November and now, we had problem after weeks of problems.
But now everything is looking brighter, and I want to spread some happiness to others. Please accept this gift for your children.
I'm incredibly sorry that you didn't get this at Christmas but I hope that your children enjoy playing.
many thanks"

I immediately burst in to tears, for an act of overwhelming generosity when clearly your life has been difficult and at that time you were actually the one more in need of some MN Christmas loving than I was.

I am genuinely overwhelmed. The toys are totally fabulous, and so thoughtful, clearly you put a lot of effort in to ensuring the right gift.

Once again - THANK YOU. Thanks

As, how lovely.
Not just that SS sent you the present but also that they had such a lovely emotional affect on you. Probably worth more today than at Christmas.

That is absolutely brilliant. How lovely for you and your family - and how wonderful that the MNer, who had clearly been having a difficult time herself, managed to send you some presents.

It's this sort of thing which makes MN so great.
