Gifts for posting overseas

I have lots of British relatives and friends overseas and am always looking for ideas for gifts I can post easily. I do use Amazon.com for Americans, but sometimes want to send bits from here that are light. So no books, no nice wooden toys....

For adults I have found some great tea towels that are Marmite themed, London Underground maps, etc. I'm also looking at flannels for the kids, purses for girls, scarves, jewelry (but am scared off getting that wrong), novelty socks for my dad... Aprons are also good for women, I think. I guess Union Jack t-shirts for kids might be good.

Anyone else have this issue? Any good ideas?

Have you had a nosey at the Emma Bridgewater website? The pottery might be a bit heavy but they do sell some lovely textiles and if you are anywhere near, or planning a visit to Alton Towers, the factory shop and cafe is fab too Smile

Mmm, thank you! Lots of treats there.

Am also fond of 'mind the gap' socks for men.

Just bumping for new traffic.

I have also found some mini-cross stitch kits of red phone boxes and London buses which might be nice for nieces.

And I might send some traditional English sweeties too...
