small christmas dinner table gift?

We usually have Christmas dinner at my parents and my dad always 'hides' a lottery scratch card under the placemat for each person. This year I am hosting for tgem, there's just my parents, dh and I and our 2 dd's (4.6 and 18mths).

Anyone got a different idea for a surprise/gift for the table?

Those 'fortune telling' fish that you put on your palm and they curl up etc. Think you can get them from Hawkins Bazaar. Lots of neat things in that shop to look at for inspiration.

How about a quiz sheet, or bingo game of some kind if you don't want to steal his thunder but keep up the tradition
