What do I need for very basic at home karaoke for the dc Christmas present?

Right, as its now only two weeks away, and we are getting our Christmas tree this afternoon, I am now officially prepared to talk about Christmas .

So I think the dc would enjoy karaoke. I am not going to buy a machine but I have seen this on Amazon. Do you use it with a tv? And then I can get karaoke dvds to play in the dvd player. Is that right?

Or anyone else got any other suggestions?

As you may have guessed, I am a complete and utter technophobe.

Do you have a ps3? as singstar is meant to be very good? well I hope it is as I have gotten my girls the mics and a couple of games for a joint present.

No idea sorry but have you got a Wii? I've ordered the dds a Wii game with microphones from Amazon - just hope it actually arrives now!
