ds or psp?

I think ds because:

dc are quite young (6 & 5)
games are more suitable
easy for them to use
they want one

dp thinks psp because:

they're better.

Any advice from people who have a ds or a psp?

what's the difference between a ds and a dsi? Or are they the same thing?

I don't think you can get a DS now, only DSi's.

Definitely DSi. Very few children we know have PSP's, most have DS's. With DS's they can link up together.

the ds lite is the older model which doesnt have a camera. It has been discontinued now (I think).

Ds definitely. Your dp is right - if he was the one playing it!

Ds connects to other ds's and dsi. This would mean you dcs could play against one another, e.g. Mario Kart and also they can write messages to one another.

Dsi has colour on the message system rather than balck and white and has a camera. For your first system, a ds would be fine. My 6 year old is upgrading to a DSi Xl this Christmas, which is the same as a dsi but a bigger screen

Hi Lollipop!
dsi is the one where you can go on t'internet and has a camera built in. DS is the basic one (and probably half the price)

No idea about PSP's, both my DD's have Ds's.

DS lite is cheaper and you can pick them up very reasonably in shops or second hand as many people upgrade to the dsi or xl.
