i always buy my kids new outfits to wear on christmas day, but this year am struggling to find things i like. i have 2 girls, age 5 and 4. dd1 is in 6-7 year old, going into 7-8 year old clothes, and dd2 is in 5-6. i also have 2 boys aged 11 and 9, who need something to wear, usually a shirt and jeans. ds1 is in 13-14 or small size mens, ds2 is in 8-9, going into 9-10. i also dont want to spend loads.

M&S have some nice stuff for girls. I've got dd3 a dress from e-bay and I'm hoping to get something for the others from the Boden sale but of course that's a bit hit and miss as to what will be available.

I got a really nice dress for dd aged 4 in Sainsbury's at the weekend. It is a deep purple one, with sequins on the top half and a lovely full skirt. They had 25% off at the weekend so only cost me £12.

i looked in h&m, and there was nothing there. it didnt help that i say some gorgeous minnie mouse clothing which dd2 would have loved, but it was in the older girls section, went to the younger section and not one minnie mouse item at all. kind of lost heart then
