Nativity play - how on earth do I make a sheep costume?

Dd has the dubious privilege of being a sheep in the school nativity this year. The letter from school seems to assume that I will make the costume rather than go and buy one so........how on earth do I make one (bearing in mind that I was thrown out of needlework at school I was so bad)?

Can you not try and get a fleecy wasitcoat and put it on, with black tights over arms and legs?

white long tshirt, black long sleeved top underneath and black tights or leggings, black pumps.

card strip round head with card ears on

cotton wool or pompom stuck or sewn onto tshirt for tail - very little sewing needed

wadding from fabric shop fitted round child. black leggings/tights and long sleeved t shirt. hat with more wadding stuck on. black pumps. no need for tail unless you want an un-docked tail in which case long strip of wadding pinned to back.
