Wii games for 3 year old?

Any ideas as to good games for my 3yo DS for the Wii?

I was looking at the Peppa Pig one which seems very simple, but my DB said it wasn't very good. His DD's like the Dora game but DS is not really into Dora, so don't know if there is something similar out there.

We got the Wii when DS1 was 6, so have no experience buying games for a younger child. I'd like something nice and simple to introduce him to the Wii.

Dd1 likes Peppa pig (she's6) but her favorite is Wii Sports resort, we have bought loads of games in the past year and she still goes back to playing wii sports (bowlling). She also has a game called 'birthday party' (i think) which has lots of little games on it.

Thanks all. We have sports resort and Mario kart which 7yo DS1 loves, but are a bit difficult for DS2. I'm looking for a sort of entry level game for him that will be simple and get him used to the controls.

I have just bought the "Up" wii game for my DN, he is 5 but it's rated for 3+.

Will have to look for the Up game as both DSes love that film.

Lots of games are rated 3+ but many are a bit difficult.

A 3 year old should not be stuck in front of a wii

buy him a scooter instead

BooBoo, Its not a dichotomy, you know. My 6 year old manages to fit in 6 1/2 hours of gymnastics a week, and still manages to find time on the wii. My 3 year old DD manages to scoot perfectly happily, ride her bide and play on the wii Grin.

However, she does find Peppa Pig way too hard on the wii. She can manage it on the DS (usually whilst waiting for DD1 to complete her gymnastics lessons), but not on the wii. However, her favourite is carnival games, particularly the mini golf game and just the bowling game that comes free with the wii.

there are some great balance games on the wii fit plus that are brilliant for my 3yo, although he needs help, it's a game to play together not to 'stick' him in front ofGrin. he loves the bowling too.

you can also view iplayer via the wii which is great for cbeebies shows

Thank you for your wonderful insight BooBoo, he has a scooter already.

montoyadiary we don't have the wii fit board but my Mum does. He has just started to try acouple of things on there and loves the penguin catching fish one.

I always look for the more active games, and that includes for DS1 too, the only reason they were allowed a console at all was that it could only be the wii

My two (3.6) love Just Dance, and there is a new Just Dance game out which we are going to get for xmas for them. They do the warm up and copy a lot of the moves, and it is active. Great on a wet day.

They also like mario kart. We already had the winter olympics/olympics games and they like those but find them a bit tough (although DS2 quite good at the bobsleigh).

Will watch this thread with interest to see if any other games are suggested.

Bought dance on Broadway at the weekend and it has lion king and Mary poppins on. It is rated 12 but I have no idea why.

Bruffin, I liked the look of that too. Do some of the songs maybe have inappropriate lanuguage? That was the only thing I could think of.

Are the dances good though?

The songs are fron Hairspray, Chicago, Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, Dream Girls, Cabaret, Hair, Fame (different dance to the Just Dance one) 42 Street, Lion King, Guys and Dolls, Time Warp and little shop of horrors haven't come across any inappropriate language so far, maybe it's just the themes. Maybe it is because of Cabaret which is a 15 or the Rocky Horror Show but they honestly haven't got anything in them that you wouldn't find in a lot of pop videos.

I think the dances are a little less energetic than Just Dance and a bit more Bob Fosse. DD is 13 and really enjoyed it but I can beat her at the dance ones, whereas she slaughters me at Wii Sing or Singstar Grin
Just looked on amazon and it says suitable for 3+ even though it has 12 on the box, so am confused.
