Yoga clothes! (Come on, you know you want to :-)

So, where do we like to shop for yoga clothes? Personally, I need the top to cover my midsection which otherwise 'muffins' & flops around most unattractively and shorts are better when not too short, but otherwise can wear anything.

Has anyone tried doing yoga with those harem pants?

Sweaty Betty - I have a great loose all in one that hides everything Wink

ThatBloodyWoman · 16/07/2015 15:38

I wear running tights and t shirt -its how I feel most comfy.

CoteDAzur · 16/07/2015 15:41

Something like this?. It looks good but I now see that they only have the size XS left.

I love my running tights but they feel sweaty after a while - because of the fabric, I think.

I have 3 pairs of yoga capris bought from sweaty betty at the tail end of their last sale, all still going strong. I do a lot of yoga in a hot room so like to have my ankles out. I also have half a dozen of SB athlete vests. They are quite long so no midriff exposure, and although they are racer back and sometimes my sturdy sports bra shows, this is apparently de rigeur at the studio I go to. They are also good in the sale.

I also go to another class in a not so groovy community centre, where it is distinctly less warm. There I tend to wear leggings or harem pants and a vest with another t shirt on top.

I quite like this one

bit like this but not quite so mc hammer

CoteDAzur · 16/07/2015 16:33

Mary - That top looks nice indeed but I'd need those colors reversed: Light & lively color on top (to emphasise what little breasts I have) and black down around torso (to divert attention away from flabby tummy).

Don't know if I'd dare those MC Hammer pants in our style-conscious neighbourhood populated with yummy mummies Smile

I usually cycle to my class and change when I get there. I wouldn't walk down the street in harems either. I sometimes whizz home on my bike without changing but after a hot class my face is vermillion and my hair's a state so I reckon it doesn't matter so much.

CoteDAzur · 16/07/2015 16:40

Btw, Lululemon's colourful bras look great when showing under racerback tops. Wear a bra like this under the racerback top and show it off Smile

That is gorgeous, but I need more scaffolding than that sadly. I do have a couple of nice coloured bras though.

TheRealMaryMillington · 16/07/2015 16:44

Bonsoir can you link to your all in one? Or similar type thing?

CoteDAzur · 16/07/2015 16:47

A bra like this one?

I was in a changing room last week testing some tights to make sure they were still opaque in downward dog when I kicked the changing room door, nearly fell over and the changing room attendant came and banged on the door to find out what was going on. Oops.

I really like the kyodan make you can get in tk maxx. Apparently they are a dupe for lululemon.

I'm really hoping yoga will help with my lack of any coordination or balance issues! I'm fairly new to the game but really loving it.

BreeVDKamp · 16/07/2015 16:58

Onzie do amazing clothes!! Haven't bought any yet though so can't vouch for the opaqueness and quality but I'm going to get some soon - quite pricey! I don't actually have any dedicated yoga clothes, I just wear what I would for running etc .

magichandles · 16/07/2015 17:03

I got one of the Lululemon racer back vests and I'm pretty pleased with it, but I have to say their online ordering and returns are a shambles! The first one I ordered never arrived (some problem which affected several shipments) so they send me another one. Which then arrived with the security tag attached. They then sent me another one, but I had to pay for it upfront and return the one that was tagged for a refund - which I still haven't had (I sent it back 4 weeks ago). Shambles.

Fortunately they have been pretty generous with the vouchers, and I should have enough to get a yoga mat by the time they are done.

CoteDAzur · 16/07/2015 17:06

Ozzie does look fun. Do they have a shop somewhere in London? I'd have to touch/feel/try before I start ordering online.

Kyodan looks good, too. I couldn't find many products, though. Maybe because the sale is on? There was a pair of comfy shorts I could be interested in but they are for 10-year-olds (?).

Onzie, rather.

magic - I would heartily recommend Lululemon mats. I don't know what material they are magicked out of, but they Really Don't Slip. As in, At All Shock

PurpleDaisies · 16/07/2015 17:09

I've only ever bought Kyodan clothing from TK Maxx Cote and it's a bit pot luck with sizes and colours but the quality is great.

MargoReadbetter · 16/07/2015 17:13

Bonsoir - I definitely hadn't imagined you in a Teletubby onsie!

I wear some Sainsburys yoga trousers and any old T-shirt. More likely also a hoodie as I'm in England and it's cold :)

MargoReadbetter · 16/07/2015 17:13

BTW - yay, a yoga section. Thanks.

CoteDAzur · 16/07/2015 17:24

Yes Bonsoir, we'll need a photo Grin

Those sports bras are very pretty, when I search for sports bras in my size I get offerings like this Grin

I buy my yoga clothes at TK Maxx, I have a lovely Calvin Klein hoodie that is very snuggly.
