A really important article by Dr Em.

I'm so pleased that the bravery of women who spoke out on MN has enabled the dots to start to be joined on this.

I cannot overstate how important this article is.

"What could be more coercive than repeatedly claiming your partner’s sense of reality, understanding of science and anatomy (that humans cannot change sex), was wrong?”

Thank you Tinsel and Dr Em. This is a clear article that pulls together all I have learned here. People are starting to understand - the dots are definitely there, willing to be joined.

Brilliant. I’ll have a read now. Thanks Tinsel & Dr Em.

Hard hitting article, very well written. Flowers

The sheer awfulness of slow, ever encroaching crossing of boundaries and pushing further and further one inch at a time... very well described. And quite characteristic in general terms of what is happening legally and in the wider world too. It's a very consistent, recognisable thing.

Just finished, & fuck....

Very, very powerfully written. About to lose signal but I’m going to share it all over the place later on. Thank you.

It was definitely worth saying it 3 times. Wink

It's like that episode of Red Dwarf when there was a white hole, spewing time.

I think the US election results must be coming online and sending t'internet into a meltdown.

Brilliant article. Worth keeping bumped.

Oh bugger sorry. That’s what I get for trying to post with a dodgy signal.

I don't think it's you Empress, I think the US election has broken the internet.

After a bit more browsing it looks like it’s happening on a few threads.

Bloody hell. One of the linked documents used as a source is from 1998... and it seems like mostly the support and lauding of the transwidows spouse still takes precedence to the exclusion of caring about these women (and their children).

Fallingirl · 04/11/2020 00:27

It is so great to see this illuminated.

I don’t think most people realise just how profound the effect is for the wife when a man starts claiming to be a woman.

Datun · 04/11/2020 00:47

Excellent article. And it's such a relief that this aspect is getting more sunlight.

Diana Aitchison single handedly ran a support line for the wives of cross dressers for donkeys years.
