My kids are too young for shopping as yet, which has probably made me totally oblivious to the amount of rubbish out there for girls. Is this sort of thing typical? Because if it is I am going to spend a lot of their childhood feeling very angry!

OP, as a mum of four girls, I'm afraid I have to break it to you that you indeed spend a lot of their childhood angry because of things like this!

When I see stuff like that on sale, I complain to the company selling it. I am sure they write me off as some mentalist or other, but I do it, anyway, in hopes that someone else will complain too, and make them think about it.

Thank goodness for this type of product, it helps fight all that new fangled modern nonsense about girls being as good as boys. Keep them coming, we don't want girl's expectations to get too high, do we?
