i watched them all last night. blubbed like a baby at the end. didn't think the first series really gelled but this one is amazebo.
Love it. Even ds who is 17 really laughs although I suspect its because he recognises us

I am loving the start of the new series. It was one of the best things on TV last year IMO and I can't say enough good things about it.
I had kind of guessed but my DD was stunned, open-mouthed.
It is a great programme for us to watch together.

There aren't many programmes left like this, and it is a beautiful piece of drama.
I guess it took the two big names to get the BBC to commission it. So pleased.

Yes. We saw it on BBC2 at 10pm (i.e. Wednesday) last night.

I don't normally watch this but saw last night's episode and loved it. Superb acting. Are the ever more characters in it?
No, there has only ever been Roger and Val. Everyone else is just referred to. A 'two hander', it is called by luvvies.
Aaargh, I forgot it was on last night! Glad you reminded me so I can watch on iplayer.

I have been watching this too and think it is possibly one of the best things I have ever seen. Reminds me of those 1970 'Play for Today' type programmes like Abigail's Party.
The writing, acting, timing, setting are all superb.
I haven't seen any of the first series must try and get it.
Most of them are on YouTube
