All this Derek stuff is just terrible.

He puts me off watching it! So unrealistic.

Am hoping they'll see sense.
When Corrie introduced Mark/Marcia and it wasn't popular or well received they wrote him out.
Hopefully EE will take pubic opinion into account.

My pubic opinion is similair to my head related one. Derek is guff.

Where did he even come from? He was never mentioned before and now he's the most evil man on the square.

I loathe Derek and I don't like any character that the actor has played... he plays them all the same.

He was horrible last time he was in the show and I refuse to believe that everyone would fall at his feet. He's spent 10 years in jail - he's not some sort of God!!

I dont think they needed to bring cat and alfie back her with her pulling faces just really put me off hated the baby storyline didnt watch , Tbh i think i need to find something else to do 4 times a week cos it really is tripe

Have to agree - not into this Derek at all, it's not like the Mitchell's where they had many years of being top dog, Derek pops up from nowhere and bam he's boss. Very UNrealistic
And don't get me started on the Ricky story - that actually really annoyed me - she forces the father of some of her kids to leave and never see them again? if that was the other way round no one would stand for it!
How convenient that Morgan's dad is here to fill the gap though

Ok just read on the eastenders facebook some people have commenting that they thought derek raped Michael I thought he was just beaten up I dont think ee is brave enough to have a male rape story ?

I've er missed a few episodes and don't understand why Andrew is a baddy - he seemed quite nice tonight. Sad Ricky has left - they go back too far for it to be cut so quickly and brutally. He is a prat though. Hate Derek and Mandy. What has Derek got over Michael - I must have missed something. They need to get back to the Massoods and the Brannings. Very sad Jane has gone.

I think derek terrorised michael he was jacks friend when they were kids , Im wondering if derek's story is going to be a slow burner , hes a horrible racist and bully , but jim his dad used to be like that ,

It did cross my mind mrsjay with the heavy breathing and smoothing himself down but surely not? I didn't really get why Michael was crying when he arrived.

Oh and yes to Mandy being dreadful. And new Lucy Beale.

At the risk of being a right old saddo and totally overthinking things, I did wonder if there was more to the Derek/ Michael scene tonight than 'just' a beating up.

And I have also wondered if the campness is accidental (though it probably is, I don't think he's that good an actor)
