Here's hoping 70! Whenever I keep guinea pigs I end up overrun - people seem to think that they can just offload them on me when they get bored (and I always end up taking them and half the time they turn out to be bloody pregnant )
They've all had a thorough health check before being rehomed but easily missed if its early days.
Time will tell but I really just hope she's a bit greedy - babies are cute and all but she's not much more than a baby herself.
Quick update, sorry I haven't got any photos up yet - will try and get some soon
G, the friendliest one seemed poorly last week. Kept an eye on her and she was doing this funny cough type thing and lost her voice (still vibrating but no audible purr). I took her to the vet and she is on antibiotics for a respiratory infection. She's a few days into her course and seems perkier, phew - am pretty attached to her already not that I stayed up all night with her or anything
A, sadly think she is pregnant - best guess would be 4-5 weeks. She is really settling in though and eating/drinking well.
B, very skitty. Needing careful handling and pretty wary of people but has bonded nicely with the other 2
Now we have 3 instead of 2 we are rethinking our cage, especially if we end up with more female babies. Ours is 120cm and the run is 6'x6' (they haven't been out in that yet as too cold & wet). Had only planned on having 2 initially so thought the cage would be fine.
The biggest cage I've found is 150cm - has anyone seen anything bigger or do I need to look again at the c&c set ups?
