they look very comfy and warm and soft and lovely.

Are they smart enough for wearing to work in an office and appart from Jeans what do they go with

Tempted to Ask DH for some for Christmas, esp. as Amazon have some fab deals on EMUs at the mo.

Uggs/Emus aren't really office wear as they are casual not smart. Also I think your feet would boil if you wore them inside!
I wear my Ugg-like boots with denim mini and jeans.

I wear uggs/emus to the office with a shortish skirt. They are not smart but I have arthritis in my feet and they make a massive difference. My feet are never too hot. I do work in IT though so still look smarter than the techie types.

I have Emus. I wear them with a denim mini skirt and with jeans or skinny trousers.

I have BOTH. Emus and Uggs are the same quality, if you ask me, and Emus are a lot cheaper than Ugg (not difficult).

Emu sheepskin boots are the ones you want - called Stinger (Bronte estyles are less pricy but just lined with wool, and lacking in deliciousness).

Why did I buy both? Because Emu Stingers have a nice soft sole (like standard Uggs), which is lovely for some days, whereas yer Ultra-Tall Uggs have a tough 'lug' sole that gives more support and a glorious extra inch of height.

I was always anti-Uggs, until I started maternity leave and wanted a more comfortable wardrobe. Now I have to remind myself to wear other shoes because they are so snug and comfortable and you can pretty much wear anything with them. Oh, I am sure I look like a complete fashion victim when I wear them with leggings, skinny jeans, shorts, dresses or skirts but they are so easy to wear. I even wear them in the house as slippers. Consequently, DP is getting me a new pair for Christmas because mine are looking a little shabby now.

p.s - I would never wear them for work...if I turned up in them, I think I would be sent home to get changed! They are just so very casual. But then, I work at a register office and there in an expectation for you to look professional and smart, moreso than in other office jobs I've had, and I tend to overdress with pencil skirts and heels.

I firmly believe that Ugg is short for Ugg-ly but this doesn't stop mine (on second pair) being permanently welded to my feet except when I have to go into the office. And even then I sometimes drive in them and put the heels on in the carpark!

I love mine, and I think I love them more because they are reserved for casusal, out shopping, out with friends, casual lunch etc - it's nice to have separation between work and home x

I do wear mine to the office, but then again, I have the type of job for which wearing a suit would get one the sack - and a lovely big desk and huge chair to hide them under.

The classic ugg combos are:

- with skinny jeans
- thick tights and mini
- sweater dress (shortish)
- with shorts, thick tights, and a lot of chutzpah.

I have awful legs and wear them with straight trousers and jeans. No insults yet.

Just don't pack your Uggs to Australia, where you will be the ultimate in bogan (Ozzie chav).

I wear mine to work but then I am in a call centre....
I have short classic chestnut which I wear on jeans day and just treated myself to black short leg ultra - Oooooooooooooh they are so lovely.
I left some cool footprints in the car park today and stood and gazed at the reversed UGG loga LOL

Not made in China, made in Britain, not travelled half way round the world, supports the local economy.

And they are amazing - have not taken mine off in a month.

Really depends on your office's dress code.

I'm currently living in my fitflop boots (being 8 months pregnant with mild spd, these are a godsend) and wear these to work with jeans (not that skinny!) or tights and a denim skirt.

Just wish they had a more waterproof version for all these rainy days...

Can you wear them in the rain though? I had cheap Primark ones and they were truly crap.

Yes yes, but the soles don't look as if they would hold water well.

They're as thick as the Ugg ones.

True enough I wouldn't stand around in a puddle letting them fill up but I wore them in the rain the last two days and the uppers got some water on them and they were fine.

Just like any suede ones really. You can machine wash them and then air dry them. I've done it with the slippers but not the boots yet but they're the same construction just with thinner soles.

I've never owned a pair before this year and I never thought I would. I mistakenly thought they made feet look totally shapeless and like giant slippers.

What I forgot was that on my tiny feet they wouldn't look like that.

I bought the 'shortie' ones (and I don't tuck anything in to them, just wear them under bootleg jeans)

I wouldn't wear them at work but use for commuting and then change into something more appropriate when you get there.
