Any natural(ish) blondes dyed their hair brown and it looked fab?

(61 Posts)
Don't know whats wrong with me as I have been blonde since the day my mummy pushed me into the world but I am fed up of it. My mother has said she will disown me if I dye my hair brown (well not quite but you get the picture) as she says I am blonde and that is that, I would look horrendous with brown hair but there is a little bit of me that would love to see how I felt as a brunette. My hair is more ashy/mousey with highlights now, nothing natural about it at all!

Anyone gone brown after being blonde forever and it suits you?
Oh my goodness sad
I think you should all come to me in Waterloo- we have a very trendy Torture Chamber, you know- it all happens after hours round these parts...
lucykate the haemorrhoids were still there until just a few weeks ago!

My hair is blondeish so I dye it to even it out.

I have died mine brown on 2 or 3 occaisions.

DH hates it as it tends to put 10 years on me, so I end up dying it back which totally wrecks my hair.

Wont ever do it again.
my brother used to work in the grapes, many, many years ago. actually, so did my mum come to think of it! i always used to call that place 'the hemorrhoids' after they stuck that huge, metal bunch of grapes to the outside wall!
Ah the memories lucykate grin

Shorrocks has been shut for ages sad.

You cannot get a drink in Formby after 11pm now, I'm serious! (Not that I am often looking for a drink at that time hmm)

Last time I was in the Grapes I met Glen Johnson smile, he was very nice
me & dh 'copped off' in falcon's crest blush, it was 1987, and our sixth form christmas party grin
i grew up in manchester, so it's all still quite new to me !!
OMG Falcon's Crest! I never went drinking in Formby or Southport, just to Liverpool. <reminisces> Those where the days...
i'd forgotten that shorrocks had gone back to it's original name!, i remember it when it was 'falcon's crest'.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
