Of all the things I never thought would come back, sodding ski pants!

Is anyone wearing them yet??

oh no not those with the stirrup at the bottom they were rank years ago.

nickelbabe · 14/09/2009 15:50

heehee!
surely only really short women can wear them anyway?
god, when i was 12 they would fall down if i put them stirrups under my feet!

AvadaKedavra · 14/09/2009 15:51

Oh yes the very same

AvadaKedavra · 14/09/2009 15:51

Ah nickelbabe, that would explain why I remember people walking round with the loops off and halfway up their leg then!

I still have a faint twinge in the vag area when thinking back to those too small skipants when I was 10. Oh my!

TigerFeet · 14/09/2009 15:56

I had a pair in 1986 when I was 12.

Even then they were shit, the knees went baggy after 10 minutes and they kept falling down. I did love them though. At the time.

I can't imagine anything more horrific than my mid-30's chunky thighs and wobbly arse in a pair now. I'm sure I'll see plenty about though

noddyholder · 14/09/2009 15:57

Never never never

random · 14/09/2009 15:57

OMG noooooooooooo my legs were always too long for them ..the crotch was always round my knees

AvadaKedavra · 14/09/2009 15:58

I remember a baby pink soft cord pair I had that I wore to death. Of course I thought I was the mutts.

OP posts:
MmeLindt · 14/09/2009 16:01

I had a dark green cord pair of ski pants.

Being a short arse, I had no problems with the length, but they are the most unflattering style going.

I don't think I will visit my parents in UK for a year or two until this craze dies down again.

SolidGoldBrass · 14/09/2009 16:04

Whoopee, I like them. Was cross when they disappeared from the shops, will happily stock up this year.

AvadaKedavra · 14/09/2009 16:04

I haven't actually seen anyone in them yet, unless they are wearing them with boots then you wouldn't tell the difference between them and leggings/jeggings/tregging/whateverthefucktheyarecalled

OP posts:
Doyouthinktheysaurus · 14/09/2009 16:14

LOL

Even the words ski pants still give me the heebie jeebies.

Bloody hell I looked awful in them back in the day, I would be a danger to public mental health if I wore them now

dexter73 · 14/09/2009 16:15

We used to wear ours over kitten heels with the stirrup on the outside!!

Mimi1977 · 14/09/2009 16:30

I used to have a purple cord pair when was about 8 teamed with a pair of pixie boots!!

random · 14/09/2009 16:32

My dds used to wear them with pixie boots {shows age} I have photos to prove it mawahaha

AvadaKedavra · 14/09/2009 16:41

How fancy Dexter73

OP posts:
dexter73 · 14/09/2009 16:43

I looked fab!

PinkTulips · 14/09/2009 16:44

ick, i was too tall for them as a child so was one of those with stirrups banging against shins!

AvadaKedavra · 14/09/2009 16:48

Is anyone going to be daft brave enough to give them a whirl second time round then?

OP posts:
NewbeeMummy · 14/09/2009 16:59

OMG NO!

Although I'm sure some of the super skinny girls at work (who are too young to remember them the first time round) will get them and look gorgeous in them

bodeniites · 14/09/2009 17:04

i saw quite an old lady wearing them the other day but then again a lot of people never stopped wearing them i think they are horrific
