I tend to look better in a dress but those of us who don;t have short legs and good proportions could do this trouser combo

I love this party top good bingo wing coverage but not sure if it has enough shape
I have one like this from last year and it is a staple don;t have to think about it party dress, I am infact wearing it tonight with some porn star shoes
I wore this last week with same porn star shoes and dp could not keep his hands or eyes of my all night. Not the most flattering on a larger tummy but your chest gets all the attention. Warning the bottom of the sleeves are not overly genourous.

I have always had crippingly low self esteem about the way I look, infact if you search my history there will be coutless posts about it.

I do therefore make a lot of effort with how I dress and the compliments give me a real boost, I also like my new haircut which has had mixed reponse on here as it is quite a strong cut and I have soft features. Picture on profile.

What a lovely picture of you and your DD ! You are totally right about dressing well, it is important and something I have spent far to long neglecting as I always end up being busy doing something else.

However, facing being 40 in less than a year doesn't half focus the mind a little bit and I am turning over a new leaf as of now. I got brave and finally made it to the dentist after ahem, a few years and the rest of me needs sorting now.

For years I've been thinking I'll buy some clothes when I lose weight and it never happens. And for ages there selection in the shops was rubbish but it looks as if there is loads more choice now and I need to get on the case. Very inspiring thread

Totally agree with twoluvlykids. You could do a Trinny and Susannah thing you know. I absolutely couldn't imagine going somewhere with some really thin size 10 telling me what to wear, it would be awful. But I'd feel fine if it was someone larger who dressed well, and I bet a lot of people would feel like me.

Chocolate I have trinny and susannah friends. I have thought about starting a blog. I wanted to work in fashion when younger but the teacahing bug got me.

I think it is important as a teacher that someone who is a bit of a plain jane dumpy type tries to look fabulous. Send the right message to the girls who will have all the usuall puberty body issues.

i have bought the caryn franklin bow dress from simply be, it is luscious. i also bought the silver litle lurex cardi to wear with it..

and i bought the chiffon sequin dress/ tunic.

and finally a pair of knee length black boots that fit really nicely...
