Desperately need help finding a dressing gown

I have a 26 year old bathrobe/ dressing gown. Satin outer and jersey stretch fine towelling on the inside.

I desperately want something similar. The key think is the fine jersey terry towelling inner.

Mine has bald patches but everything else I've tried feels so different and doesn't drape nicely and finish drying me off post as well.

After a quarter of a century you deserve something nice! Haven’t seen anything exactly as you describe, but if I needed a bathrobe (which is what you seem to want, rather than something lush to wear around the house) I’d be looking towards Tekla.

The Toast gowns are always lovely but not really intended to take on a drying role.

However … I’d be dropping strong Christmas hints about this. Better selection than the women’s dressing gowns - and such a lovely thing to have over winter.

This one is cotton on the outside and towelling inside.

Thanks for the ideas but none are close to what I want.

100% cotton one way too big and heavy and have one similar and can't move in it.

£425 for something when I end up with cats sat on me that again is too big no way, don't have that sort of budget.

White Stuff one has a 100% polyester lining which is just rank Sad

I think nothing exists that fits the bill currently. Perhaps I could have one made!!

I treated myself to one from One Hundred Stars. It's divine.

I've taken the plunge and commissioned @Katymac who is a MNer I've "known" for years that repurposes used fabric into new clothes.

Very excited even if I do have to wait until January!!

Will end up fairly expensive but will be what I want and last another 25 years although won't see me through 4 pregnancies and births, 2 marriages and a divorce!!

Hi @RandomMess Thanks for posting. If you're still looking for a new dressing gown, take a look at our article on the best dressing gowns for women. It's full of snuggly robes which were picked thanks to recommendations from Mumsnet users and consumer reviews. I hope you find it useful.
