Keep seeing ads on Facebook and really like the loose linen dresses but worried it's a rip off.
Anyone bought anything and what is the quality and sizing like?

Hi - I too keep seeing adverts on Facebook for Blindaluna but I can’t find any comments or reviews !
Love the clothes but may not order

EndIsNigh · 10/04/2020 10:37

Thanks @Shellbaby67. I couldn't find any reviews either which made me suspicious. The clothes look so nice but don't think I will order either, don't have any money to waste right now.

Looks like they’re in China by the length of shipping time and I doubt the clothes are anything like the pictures

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 10/04/2020 11:30

If you like loose linen dresses, try Linennaive.
www.linennaive.com/

They have an Etsy store as well. They are based in China, so I don’t know what delivery times would be like now.

I bought one of their cashmere cloaks as present and it is beautiful. The fabric is lovely and the tailoring immaculate. I was hesitant, but the reviews are good and they have a terrific business model.

I’m trying to decide which of their linen dresses I want to buy for myself.

EndIsNigh · 10/04/2020 12:48

Wow @DancelikeEmmaGoldman, some of those dresses and skirts are fabulous.
I'm only 5'1" though so think they would all be way too long unfortunately.

I think they are based in China (although they say the items are shipped from HK). Based on other very similar adverts I have seen on FB for similar garments, the feedback is that the orders take a long while to arrive and the garments usually bear very little resemblance to the photos as they are inferior in quality with some very strange sizing/proportions. It's a shame because the clothes look lovely however you can find similar in the UK by LV and some other brands...

I've been looking at the linen dresses with daisies on tonight and just realised that the daisies have been photoshopped on (and over the top of a necklace) so I can pretty much guarantee that you will end up with tat that is almost impossible to return & get refunded.
My mother made exactly that mistake with Damensein

EndIsNigh · 14/04/2020 21:26

@PatoPato when I looked again I noticed that, as someone had pointed out, all the heads are cropped out of pictures.
Also if you read "About Us", it's not quite grammatically correct.
Suspected it was actually tat and everyone else has confirmed it. Thank you all!

Yes, Damensein stuff looks good but I know they have very bad customer feedback.

Mollys1965 · 16/04/2020 23:21

Try Kit & Kaboodal - they do loads of linen clothing for sale online and they are based on Yorkshire. I have purchased from them and they are excellent!

DarkDarkNight · 17/04/2020 21:19

I love the polka dot dress that keeps coming up on FB, but the company are very evasive. Lots of people asking in the comments if anyone has bought and what they’re like and it’s just the company answering. Makes me suspicious they’re deleting answers or nobody has anything positive to say.

They also say they have factories in the UK and the US which seems unlikely.

I purchased 2 dresses from Blindaluna back in March. I contacted them to say I haven’t received them. I got a reply the same day saying that the package was dispatched on the 8th April.
Today I received an email from Royal Mail stating I have a parcel from China that I have to pay import tax on!
So I have had to pay another £12. 56.
Two £20 have now cost me over £60 with postage and taxes and still have not arrived!
Will let you know the fitting once they arrive!

Oliverja · 23/04/2020 12:15

Received my 'linen' dress this week. It's nothing like the picture. It's viscose or something like that. Ordered the grey polka dot dress. It's awful. Have contacted them for a refund as I said it doesn't fit properly and they've asked me to send a photo of my body and the dress for comparison!!

TraceyAnne173 · 23/04/2020 13:10

Oh no! I have also ordered the Grey Pok a Dot!!
Will post on the state of it once they arrive!

TraceyAnne173 · 24/04/2020 10:23

So my dresses have arrived cheap nylon crap!
Nothing like what I ordered now trying to contact them for a refund.
Please do not buy from this website it is nasty rubbish!

Oliverja · 24/04/2020 11:02

Got an email from them today to say that it's not worth paying for the refund as the p&p is so expensive and they might not receive it anyway!!
Avoid this company at all costs!!

Occitania · 27/04/2020 08:04

Do not use this website, cheap quality and certainly not as advertised.

debstropic · 27/04/2020 12:33

I bought a dress and some jewellery from Blindaluna and they never arrived. I did however get an unpaid postage amount from Royal Mail asking for £12.12 before they would deliver it. I emailed Blindaluna and they told me that I'm responsible for paying the custom fee as it's our government that collects it !

TraceyAnne173 · 27/04/2020 13:46

Avoid at all costs!

Occitania · 27/04/2020 15:35

Don’t bother, clothes look great but believe me they are made of cheap synthetic material. Save your money!

Ole123 · 03/05/2020 10:29

Hi
I’ve had exactly the same experience. Royal Mail handling charge on top of price of goods. Dresses shoddy and poor quality and no return address. They want a photo of me in the dress before they’ll authorise a returns code. What can we do about this total scam? I am trying my credit card company to pursue this. Are the police interested?

Occitania · 03/05/2020 11:03

Blindaluna clothes? DONT BOTHER. Cheap Chinese badly made synthetic clothes. Returns virtually impossible, save your money.

Gran99 · 07/05/2020 08:32

Avoid these people. I bought a spotty dress described as cotton blend. It is the thinnest, synthetic fabric - think a cheap umbrella from a pound shop, that sort of fabric. My requests to return were stalled then refused. I was asked twice for photographs to illustrate my complaint. Short of a lab analysis of the nasty material I could not prove it was not as advertised. It was not cheap.

seekingwaxwings · 07/05/2020 09:17

Aw crap. I've been waiting for the blue polka dot dress for weeks, am I really going to have to pay extra for a nylon monstrosity?

There are lots of companies on Facebook selling the same garments, I've seen the polka dot dresses & photoshopped daisy dungarees lots of times. I actually ordered from TargetSweet but I'm sure I started off looking at Blindluna. There's one called StyleJulie and a Bloomjulia and lots of others that have the same clothes and photos, I think they're all the same company selling synthetic tat to gullible Westerners. Sad

Ole123 · 07/05/2020 10:44

What can we do about this? 🤬🤯😡
