I've heard Pinot ( and others!) bang on about this stuff on S and B but never tried it.I found myself in Lloyds Chemist last week and had a good rummage through their huge selection and ended up getting the cream for flaky skin - it's like the BEST moisturiser you can possibly imagine, it glides on and all your redness and flaky 'post cold nose skin' just disappears. It's paraben free and for sensitive skin so not full of nasties.
I went back today and bought the shower wash, cleansing lotion and moisturiser for rosacea - VERY lovely, helpful assistant suggested what would be good AND she gave me some free samples too!
While I was there someone else came up and bought some cream and said 'Oh this is great stuff, you'll love it!' - wonder if she was a mumsnetter?
Sorry for the enthusiasm but this really is good stuff and not too pricey either.
I love it too, and Avene - have just stocked up on Skin Recovery Cream and Hydrance SPF20 in the Boots 3 for 2 offer. Wonderful for rosacea-prone skin.
Yes - Cicaplast is marvellous
Valium - which cream was it? I've tried a few from this range and I've been really impressed. I've got really flaky cheeks and nose at the mo and could do with a cream to help.
Cicaplast - which is for the dry flaky bits, as and when you need it and today I bought the moisturiser which apparently is fab for rosacea.
I couldn't find it in our local Boots. Is the 3 for 2 available on line too?
3 for 2 is across all skincare, so yes, it should be available on line.
Oooooooo thank you, will go and have a look!!
I think the prices are pretty good anyway tbh but 3 for 2 would be fab!
valium do you put the cicaplast all over your face? I have it too but have only been using it for flaky patches - for some reason thought I couldn't put it all over...
Yeah, it's ok all over my face princess I use it as a night cream - I can't tell you what a difference it's made to my skin and I have only used it for a few days so far!
I have been using The Body Shop's Aloe range but this is more heavy duty for dry skin imo.
You can definitely use it all over as it for after chemical peels - that's why it's so good!
it's
Ah ok, will try it as a night cream! Thanks, have been using rosehip oil which seems pretty good but doesn't get rid of all the flakes <boak>
My skin was in a dreadful state last week as I had had a cold for over 2 weeks, even mu mum commented on how bad it was and she never notices anything! I used the Cicaplast and it instantly worked!
I've just taken my make up off with the cleanser - wow!!! It is fab and I wear tons of mascara and it just slid off! The moisturiser feels nice too, bit alarmed it was green but it's not too strong.
It was first recommended to me by my dermatologist.
For some strange reason, it is much cheaper in UK than France... as are most French cosmetics (Bourjois lipsticks are half the price in the UK).
It looks as if it will be very expensive, I was surprised it is so reasonable, especially with the 3 for 2 offer!
Oh this sounds interesting. I have flaky skin around my nose and forehead. I reckon I have combination skin that is dehydrated rather than dry. I have been making a concerted effort to drink water but can anyone recommend a moisturiser to try?
I have been using Dermalogica Active Moist but it's not doing the trick just now.
Rip you need Cicaplast.
Is this a moisturiser or a treatment to use under moisturiser? Sorry if that's a silly question...
Either - use it to dab on flaky bits, or all over, works under moisturiser too.
Brilliant, thanks!
This sounds like just what I need
Think it's about a tenner but look on the Boots website as 3 for 2 offer is on <wish I'd known before I went shopping this afternoon!>
It's so good isn't it. I have French family so have been using it for ages, didn't know it was a MN thing as well.
If it's 3 for 2 is there anything else particularly recommended?
just read again...someone mentioned the cleanser. I'm currently using Liz Earle but would but something to try after
