i cannot stop looking in the mirror at myself
they look brilliant. perfect, tiny hairstrokes, a lovely arch, a perfect browny black colour exactly like my natural hair colour, and they are completely symetterical (sp?) . they completely open up my face and eyes and i have no make up on at all and yet i somehow look lightly made up and natural.
i have eyebrows for the first time, like, ever AND I WILL NEVER HAVE TO DRAW THEM ON AGAIN! well for at least a year anyway
i love them
one downside - it FOOKING hurt
Mine are the same, I really want mine done! Where did you get yours done? Mine are really dark but sparse so they look a little strange without definer and I'm sooo tired of it smudging off not matter what brand I use.
had it done here http://www.chichairandbeautygroup.co.uk/
its based in leicester - not sure where you are
oh link failed
try again
Oh wow - I am in Leicestershire
excellent, thanks v much
I would love to get this done but am allergic to hair dye dammit!
how much?
brilliant lubey! i'll post some pics tomorrow as dh is out tonight and i need to use his iphone
hellothisis its £350 but i got 25% off as they have an offer at the mo. not sure how long its on for though.
yes yes yes!! i have had mine done and 4 months later i'm still not tired of admiring them

did your eyebrows fade much fooolof?
the woman who did mine said i should expect them to fade a bit, i don't want them to though! i have 2 free follow up appointments so if they have faded too much hopefully i can ask her to go over them again.
yeah they did fade, but the technician explained that when i left the salon they were 'wet' and would need to heal (like a normal tattoo) and the top layer of ink would come off
so with this in mind she did my first treatment, relatively light so i didnt get too much of a shock when i saw them immediately post treatment
i then had them made darker and thicker at each subsequent treatment (i had 3 in total). after the final treatment they looked horrendously dark and morticia like, but after a week had settled to the wonderful very dark brown solid colour they are now
words cannot describe how much i heart them

I'm interested in this but after looking at their website it sounds like it's permanent rather than semi-permanent.
Would be scared in case it was permanently wrong. Why is it called semi-permanent. Please educate me on this.
It's semi permanent as it lasts about a year. I've had mine done twice now and they are fantastic. Mine cost £250 and I'm in Brighton if anyone needs a recommendation.
A year for all that? No way
Any chance you could put a picture or link to examples? Sounds great, I hate having to 'do' my eyebrows every morning. Years of over plucking (why why why!!!) have left some patches/gaps. Did it scab like a normal tattoo? Did you have to go into hiding for a few days after until they had healed?!
will post some pics later. promise! have been really busy as one of the dcs has been poorly.
its scabbed a bit but not as bad as a normal tattoo. and you can't tell, even up close, its just when i touch them they feel a bit bumpy IYSWIM
As someone who is very well endowed in the eyebrow department I find these threads mystifying. I shall be staring at eyebrows for a week now
But what's the principle, like how is it done? Do they dye each individual hair or is it ink into your skin?
Caer you're so lucky, I have alopecia and I would love to have this done, but am also allergic to hair dye. Honestly, you have no idea of the difference it makes to your face. If I dash out in the morning without my eyebrows (almost unheard of) people ask if I'm okay, if I'm poorly, if I'm coming down with something!
they draw really fine little strokes on your skin, where your eyebrows should be. and it just looks like eyebrows.
i too would love thick eyebrows would have saved me a few hundred quid
i used this salon: www.h-o-b.co.uk/permanent-cosmetics
they use nouveau countour, the technician i used advised me to read everything i could on their website in order to understand the process and decide which effects i would like
there is some sort of legal issue surrounding calling them permanent/semi permanent i cant really remember it, she did explain at the time, if i understand correctly after around 1-2 years they will have faded and so need 'topping up' in order to look as good as new, but will not have disappeared completely if that makes sense, here's the website with all the info: www.nouveaubeautygroup.com/nouveau-contour/
I went here for mine:
www.beautifulink.co.uk/
They look fake though even the really good ones you can spot.
No faker than drawing them on with a pencil. At least mine are now always even and the same every day.
i'd honestly rather have slightly fake looking eyebrows than non existent ones or ones i had drawn on with a pencil
i love mine sooooooo much (have you noticed)
