Hi there ariadne! Thanks for new thread.

I've just been chatting to Pan on the old thread, and posted a link over here smile

Panwearsamagicjersey Fri 22-Aug-14 21:32:57

Muchos gracias ariadnebike

<settles in wheel behind DA>

Panwearsamagicjersey Fri 22-Aug-14 21:37:14

<this magic jersey is getting really smelly now! need to change it, otherwise I'll be alone, esp on the cross winds..>

DramaAlpaca Fri 22-Aug-14 21:45:08

So what jersey are you going for this time, Pan? A rojo one?

Just heard Chris Horner has been pulled from the Vuelta due to high cortisol levels hmm. I half heard it on Eurosport, not sure of full story.

Panwearsamagicjersey Fri 22-Aug-14 21:49:57

Horner....just....hmm. Interesting, isn't it? Esp after that avoidance-stunt he pulled last year.
Jersey - must be Jensie-themed, shorely?bike

DramaAlpaca Fri 22-Aug-14 21:51:45

Pansaysshutuplegs? grin

Panwearsamagicjersey Fri 22-Aug-14 21:53:30

ImMotherfuckingPan - bit strong.smile

DramaAlpaca Fri 22-Aug-14 22:03:57

Maybe just a bit... OK for this thread, but I don't know how it'd go down elsewhere on MN grin

Panwearsamagicjersey Fri 22-Aug-14 22:05:01

Quite!smile

ariadneoliver Fri 22-Aug-14 22:06:28

Hi all, good to see the peleton taking shape. Drama the Chris Horner story is at the link in his name. Basically medical treatment left him with low cortisol levels and as Lampre are part of MPCC he has to withdraw.

DramaAlpaca Fri 22-Aug-14 22:08:49

Ah, thanks ariadne.

<note to self - read OP properly and check out links before posting blush>

Panwearsamagicjersey Fri 22-Aug-14 22:12:38

darned! We can't make baseless and frankly libellous accusatorily posts about Mr Horner without reading your informative link ariadne? blush

DramaAlpaca Fri 22-Aug-14 22:15:13

...and my post wasn't even accurate. Low cortisol levels, fgs, not high ones blush

Panwearsamagicjersey Fri 22-Aug-14 22:19:09

ariadne is obv a very fine road capt, if I may say. Thank the Lord it wasn't DA, otherwise we'd all be in the civil court dock, Horner v MN Peloton.grin

ShutUpPan Fri 22-Aug-14 22:29:18

New name seems good advice...

Reminds me of an Oscar Wilde quote.."The best thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. Because it will be of no use to you."smile

DoctorTwo Sat 23-Aug-14 06:23:17

Three weeks of pedalling around Spain paying no attention to the view. Shame that Horner isn't racing but still.

aurynne Sat 23-Aug-14 10:07:46

It's "pelotón" smile

ariadneoliver Sat 23-Aug-14 19:48:13

Team time trial was a good opener and surprisingly exciting. I may treat myself to a celebratory sherry later in honour of the stage. grin Next stop Algeciras. bike bike

LostInWales Sat 23-Aug-14 21:55:12

Bonjour! Urk, first post on new mobile site, interesting. I am waving at you from Bergerac, not as wet as it was for the tour stage thank goodness! It's nice and sunny but very rural so Le wee fee not always the best and I can't find the Vuelta on telly so I will be relying on you lot.bikebikebike

EndoplasmicReticulum Sat 23-Aug-14 22:41:35

Hello, signing in from holiday with inlaws so probably won't get to watch a lot in between episodes of coronation street.

Do have internet though so will try to keep up.

ShutUpPan Sun 24-Aug-14 21:52:43

Jensie on his last breakaway.....bike

ShutUpLegs Mon 25-Aug-14 09:05:37

<stares flintily at Pan who has adopted a very similar new jersey design>

I like the idea of a Veulta-bottle-of-sherry. I must swing by a booze emporium today.

Why the obsession with launching stages over water this year?

ShutUpLegs Mon 25-Aug-14 09:06:22

Vuelta, even. Gah.

bike

JustAboveTheDogPan Mon 25-Aug-14 10:32:28

Domestically Jens-related, but better?
