something MOST PECULIAR is happening to some newly started threads

in active convos it says "0" instead of "1" post (the OP's), but you can see who started the thread

when you click on the thread it says "sorry that thread could not be found"

but once you post a response it all miraculously appears!

I agree. I made a total arse of myself on this thread to begin with www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2202790-Say-something-or-will-I-look-petty?.

MNHQ what is going on?

sunbathe · 06/10/2014 18:46

Yep, it's doing the thing of not showing the op again for me.

Galaxy S4
Native browser.
Android 4.4.2

wantacatplease · 06/10/2014 20:26

Just came here to start a thread about this. Weird!

AnyFucker · 06/10/2014 20:26

same 'ere

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 06/10/2014 20:30

I also made an arse of myself on a thread earlier because of this.

On the app the threads open but are completely blank.

Iggly · 06/10/2014 20:31

Yes I've seen this but there's nothing there!

wooooosualsuspect · 06/10/2014 20:32

The OP appears after you have replied WTF?

Sephy · 06/10/2014 20:33

AlpacaYourThings · 06/10/2014 20:34

PetulaGordino · 06/10/2014 21:44

Still doing it this morning, thread started just gone 7am...OP not showing. Message says 'sorry, we couldn't find that thread'

BBQsAreSooooOverrated · 07/10/2014 07:16

I'm getting that too. This morning it's the 'I need to phone my dustbin' thread for me. It's completely blank when I open though.
I'm using mobile site on iPhone.

ConcreteElephant · 07/10/2014 07:19

Mine was the parcel knocking after 9.30 one. HoneyDragon has answered it with a . so it shows now.

FruVikingessOla · 07/10/2014 07:48

"The OP appears after you have replied WTF?"

Yes, that's why I made a total arse of myself. I thought it was some kind of joke or a trick that people had discovered - a bit like the blank posts.

It doesn't seem to happen with all new threads. I wonder if it's the device that the OP is posting from, rather than the device we're using?

iMac / Firefox

magimedi · 07/10/2014 09:09

Desktop computer, Firefox.

Just seen it happen again.

mypussyiscalledCaramel · 07/10/2014 09:11

Android phone, uc browser. Done it to me too

Vitalstatistix · 07/10/2014 10:39

Oh lawks, that doesn't look good. We'll flag it to tech, but in the meantime, any screenshots/browser info is hugely appreciated.

Ta.

CocktailQueen · 07/10/2014 11:22

Me too - last night - thread called HELP in Chat (I think). Firefox, desktop PC here. Hasn't happened today so far though.

Showy · 07/10/2014 11:25

I was using android last night and a couple of threads had a 0 next to them. When you opened them, the op was there but with a number 3 floating next to it. I decided I was seeing things and went to bed...

FruVikingessOla · 07/10/2014 11:27

I went through a few 0 threads this morning posting that the OP wasn't showing, but that my post would make their first post visible.

I think the problem, Amy, is what device the OP is MNing from - not what device we're reading the threads on - because I've noticed a number of new threads this morning where the OP's first post is visible as normal.

Showy · 07/10/2014 12:13

I've taken a screenshot. How on earth do you post it into a message?

How do you save a screenshot as a picture?
