why is mumsnet teeny tiny on the PC?

I usually read MN on the phone, but if I try to use it on the PC, it's all tiny and only occupies the middle third of the screen.

Other websites are fine, and I'm sure I've viewed MN on the PC before without any problems.

What elementary foolish error have I made? Am feeling quite stupid that I don't know how to restore it to full size. And please excuse typos, I can't actually read what I've typed!

What browser are you using? You are not zoomed out by mistake?

Are you using the mobile version by mistake?

the mobile one is
m.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/1113554-why-is-mumsnet-teeny-tiny-on-the-PC

instead of

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/1113554-why-is-mumsnet-teeny-tiny-on-the-PC

There was a thread about this last week too. She fixed it by holding down the Control key then pressing + till it was the right size.

If you are on firefox go to View, then Zoom and reset :)

Thanks all, will try control and plus key when I get back on pc. Don't think it's set to mobile site, I did try to check but think it's on standard site. Using Google Chrome but not fully used to it yet, have swapped from FireFox.

I did think I should search but couldn't see it :)

CNTRL + + + until it's right

Changed my life when I found that out (I needed to - - - a particular website that came out madly big?!)

HelenMumsnet · 30/12/2010 12:26

Hello, inertia - are you sorted (and bigger) yet?

Do check you're not on the mobile site - you can tell by looking at the url: if it's the mobile site, it will have m. after the bit instead of the usual www.

Inertia · 30/12/2010 13:24

Thanks everyone, control and + worked!

Hurrah!

If you're worried about being unsure which size is the default size, Ctrl-0 will reset it. (If you're on a Mac, use Command/Apple-0 instead.)
