Missed tonights! Wasn't Celia the woman in the red coat at Cheltenham station that day Paul and Lillian could only meet for an hour or so? She was very irritating and Lillian had to pretend that her and Paul were brother and sister?

I came on here to see who else had heard tonight's episode. Seems a bit out of the blue to me, although I can believe it of his character. I'm sure there will be more to it; I wonder how long they will drag it out for.

Also how long for Brenda and Tom to keep arguing? They are both irritating me now.

my DH spotted Paul's stalker tendencies a couple of weeks ago and I was very dismissive... unbelieeeeeevable! Ugh to bed noises from those two.

I hope Brenda pokes Tom very hard with a sausage and then gives herself a slap.

I've done a quick google and I think Celia might be Anita Dobson.

Brenda needs to chuck Tom & tell Lillian to stick her job where the sun don't shine!

Never used to like her but she's bonded so well with Vicky now over her little sister, really shown her integrity. Tom is unbelievably awful. Lillian is so self-absorbed, bound to come a cropper soon. I thought she'd be a good judge of character tho - seems not, if tonight's episode is anything to go by!

And as for Pip, she gives me the bloody pip [buangry]!

I was sure that Paul had psycho tendencies, perhaps he will kidnap Brenda and use her as a decoy! Her days in the office will just get worse.

This feels contrived. I don't think, when Paul was first introduced, he was going to be a psycho. He was a 'nice' alternative to Matt, and a dilemma for Lillian. Mind you he's got creepier and creepier since he reappeared, so I suppose I should have seen this coming.

Too much melodrama. I sort of enjoy it on one level, but like Fraumoose above, am more intrigued by Peggy's reaction to Lillian buying decent biccies instead of the stale old ginger nuts in the village shop.

Kidnapping Brenda - how bizarre - and what would the 'ransom' be - not 500 kg of Tom Archer Sausages, nor 1000 pints of milk, so why, actually would anyone ransom her ?

If it was CSI, she'd turn out to have been working on the sly in Birmingham (not Leicester where she said she was) as a wicked Dominatrix and have a little black book, with Matt, some MPs, and Brian listed, but this is blasted Ambridge for goodness sake :)

She'd disguise her voice, tell them to kneel and give some nasty lashes with a whip to their back and legs and just signify "zipped lips" if they said anything so they'd know to shut up or get a severe whipping!

Can think of all sorts of nastiness for Matt on the wrong end of a strap-on, and Brenda wearing stilettos to stamp on Brian's privates (they're the only two from Ambridge who go off at regular intervals for "business" meetings, so could easily have managed to get away when Brenda was out of the village)

Of course they didn't know that it was Brenda behind the fancy mask, feather head-dress, and would not recognise her with such a tight waist in her corset, with boobs almost spilling out! She could take hundreds in cash fro those two alone, and has a secret deposit account Tom knows nothing about, so she can depart to a life in a luxury penthouse with a few naughty male clients paying her for their kicks, but not getting any sex at all...

I loved the ludicrous conversations about biscuits - and the way that Tony would clearly much rather eat M&S chocolate and ginger cookies than stale ones from the village shop.

Oh! I said on another thread a while back that the Angie character might turn out to be Paul's ex. I think that's the first time I've ever predicted anything correctly on the Archers.

I can't bear the Paul n Lilian plot.

I love Bitchy Brenda. She is now my number one fave character. I'd love to see her take on the world.
Used to love Lilian when she was bitchy, too. Now just meh.
