Amazon Prime - just so I could go shopping for my DS and have it delivered within about 24hrs!

GetTheSprinkles · 25/04/2020 16:57

Diaper bin. Meant I could change him upstairs and chuck nappy in bin quickly with no lingering smell. Doesnt need changing for about 5 days. Good value on Amazon.

Sling

amazedmummy · 25/04/2020 16:59

Sling! Definitely sling. And sleep suits so I didn't need to faff about with whole outfits.

Spoons1987 · 25/04/2020 17:00

Stretchy wrap sling

Cut up food. Cheese cubes. Fruit. Small crackers. Anything already cut into bit sized pieces.

A screwdriver that has multiple heads for Tiny screws.

PawPatrolMakesMeDrink · 25/04/2020 17:01

Coffee

Baby grows.
Loads of them. No other clothing for the baby, none, just cheep, baby grows. Godsend.

Big knickers.

Biggest jug I could find to fill up with juice I thought having to trail into the kitchen for a glass of juice for ages.

The remote control.

No visitors. They come and expect conversation and a cup of tea. Piss off, I’m tired.

Hair bobbles to tie up after shower. That there was my beauty regime.

A kindle paper white (the one you don't need a light for) to read whilst feeding. I agree with amazon prime and I can fully recommend chocolate hobnobs spread with peanut butter. I was an absolute sugar fiend whilst breastfeeding!

BikeRunSki · 25/04/2020 17:10

Muslins
Sling
Good tea bags!
Supermarket deliveries!

Mumthedogsbeensick · 25/04/2020 17:10

Breast pads!

Elephantonascooter · 25/04/2020 17:11

Stretchy sling wrap

Candyflosscookie · 25/04/2020 17:34

Lansinoh cream for nips
Really really good handcream. You're washing your hands all the fricking time.
Endless supply of easy snacks you can eat with one hand.
Agree with sling. Didn't get one until DC was a few months old and it was brilliant, made life so much easier.

Alarae · 25/04/2020 17:36

If you are formula feeding, a perfect prep machine.

crazychemist · 25/04/2020 17:39

Breast pads - I got through soooooo many of them because I was leaking all over the place! I had no idea I’d have to change them so often.

Muslins. On the shoulder when burping baby or when having a cuddle after a feed. Great for wiping up just about anything!

Sling if baby will stay in it. Mine would only tolerate it for her morning nap, but at least I had my hands free for a couple of hours each day! My DD was a total Velcro baby.

triedandtestedteacher · 25/04/2020 17:45

Sling and sleepyhead

Lu1u · 25/04/2020 17:50

Stretchy sling and a perfect prep machine without a doubt!

WellIWasInTheNeighbourhoo · 25/04/2020 17:59

My rented double breast milk pump & fabric sling

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 25/04/2020 18:03

Muslins- I had enough milk for mine plus triplets Hmm & babies who guzzled then upchucked endlessly

If I’m allowed more than one-
Breast pads
V shaped pillow
Sling - I prefer a shortie like a barabarn for NB
Supermarket deliveries
For the first couple of days pads that have been frozen after they had witch hazel poured in them were heaven!

eventhecathasapenis · 25/04/2020 18:04

@crosser62 - spot on 😂 that's good advice. Also, yet another vote for a sling here. I got a rigid one first and hated it, couldn't make it work. Then I got a stretchy one and OMG, I had hands again!!

turnthebiglightoff · 25/04/2020 18:04

Netflix
Biscuits
Water. A shit ton of water. If you're breastfeeding, you'll want a glass every half an hour! (Well, I did).
More nappies than you think.
Kindle or good smart phone.
Amazon prime. You'll use it most at 3am.
Phone charger in every room! Best thing I did!
At least 1 baby class a week, after about 8 weeks (depending on Covid of course). It gives a reason to leave the house at least 1 day per week and once you have a routine for that day you can find one for the rest of the week :-) when I say routine, I mean learn how to leave the house with the baby!
Sainsbury's full briefs, the ones with the lace band. They go right up to your waist and are comfortable with everything!
YY to good hand cream.
Spritz for bitz and lavender oil for pain management and healing if you have any tears or an episiotomy. Always have a bottle of warm water available when you have a wee to ease any stinging. It does sting if you've at birth injuries
Absolutely no always or similar sanitary towels. The plastic is awful for any tears or cuts you may have - Boots maternity towels are great and the slimline one makes an amazing tampon alternative for when you get your period.
A sitz bath. Made such a difference.

Sorry that was so long!!

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 25/04/2020 18:05

Breast pump!! I struggled to breast feed so ended up expressing for 6 months. Invest in a good electric double if you do.

Vests and all in ones, so much easier in the first few months to just whip on and off haha.

Kindle paperwhite, such a brilliant thing for night feeds!

gingerbeerandlemonade · 25/04/2020 18:09

White noise! We had myhummy although now we have an Alexa and that is cheaper and plays white noise continuously!

Cosyblanky · 25/04/2020 18:10

Bouncy chair and play mat to put baby down when not in basket/cot

Isitweekendyet · 25/04/2020 18:10
