I'd love to come. DC3 due early March though so not very likely!
Fantastic Blue, that would be great!
Jaffa, yes you might be somewhat otherly occupied!!
I am not a great one for these big gatherings, the only ones I ever did were ones with CWR and Selwyn Hughes.
I have a feeling that it is to do with losing control (control freak? moi? err...)
London would be perfectly possible for me. Do I want to go? Not really. Should I go? Possibly.
What do you think?
Ooh DO - I think you should go if you want to - not feel you have to, as such.
Losing control can be a good thing - but as I always say, God doesn't push on you what you do not want.
Would be super lovely to meet you, but we can always do a smaller meet up later in the year as well.
Perhaps pray about it - these things can be lifechanging, but I am well aware the style is not for everyone, and that's fine.

Ooh, this is quite near me.
But it's dd2's birthday weekend, so I'm likely to have a house full of family and kids (she has been promised a sleepover... Eek, what have I done?).
Also, there might be tambourines. [Runs away...]

Jaffa... I think I'd missed that you were pg! Congratulations!

MHD I would love love love to come but it's a bit too far
. I got briefly excited as I'm coming back for a couple of weeks at the end of Jan/start of Feb and wondered if it would be then, but obviously not
.
The London one could be a distinct possibility for me
Ages since I've been to something like this and even though I'm quite reserved in worship style, I do get a lot from these sorts of events.
Would be lovely to meet some of you too

I could do Poole, if there's anyone else out there that would join me?
That would be great SES
Milly yes it would be somewhat far for you!! Wish we could all come and have a meet up at yours
Smile the Poole one is too far for me, sorry, hope someone else can make it, lots of people do go by themselves and get just as much out of it as well.
Oh TUO - yes totally understand about the birthday weekend.
Won't be any tambourines. Far too fluffy and cliched
It's lively worship with a band DO - plus speakers etc in between - it depends what you mean by noisy and what you're used to.
We have a lively worship band and find it hard to cope as do most of the older people.
We are singing tomorrow and that is very sedate, I'm also reading, but I must admit that I find services a challenge at the moment, but realise that there are an enormous number of people who find it all very acceptable and come in numbers.

Sorry, I am away that much from my family as it is at the moment because of my research, that it doesn't feel right to go away for for yet another thing. Am also a bit nervous with too lively worship. I find myself looking for signs of mass-suggestion and Pavlovian responses, so am usually not able to commit to the worship IFYSWIM. It's a bit strange because I have a fairly charismatic past, but I have been burned.
Interesting that gingercurl - can we unpack it more on the chat thread? Sorry to hear you have had a bad experience though. xx
DO yes understand about it being too much/noisy etc, loads of older people go but everyone has preferences. I just find it so freeing and amazing and can't recommend enough.
<just realises she did FB like kisses>
<oops>
<but still means it ginger>

I could probably make it to London come to that...
Bumping this for the new year, just having come back from a new wine conference. Blue are you still interested - and SES? smile? DO? Anyone else? I am going on the train with some other women, will be going from here but changing in Birmingham so could meet anyone there and then in London of course, either at the station or the venue. I must book it really!!
Yep! Would be good if we could book tickets together so we sit together on train!
Yes good plan! will look into the times - may be an early start

I might like to come... and by train, too! What's it all about, though - it looks like its focus is on healing? Not sure I've any need for that or any particular ministry of my own to develop... so will I get anything out of it?

Also, is it for leaders like the one you've just been on? Or for ordinary, not very talented women, too? I haven't had a clear role in the church since I was a teenager, I think!
