We've been asked by Central YMCA to find out how you feel about postnatal exercise. If you've had a baby in the last 3 years we'd very much like you to complete this survey about this topic - regardless of what level of exercise you did
.
The survey is open to all UK MNers who've had a baby in the past 3 years.
~ If it was your first baby you should be at least 3 months post-partum to take part.
~ If you have had more than one child in the past 3 years, please answer about the most recent one (unless it was very recent - you should ideally be 3 months post-partum).
Everyone who takes part and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw to win £200 of John Lewis vouchers.
Thanks and good luck with the prize draw

Was there a space to say when you started exercising again? I was walking everywhere from 3 months I'd say but wasn't up to proper exercise eg DVD until DD was 6/7 months old, that might have been a good question.

all of my exercise involved pushing the buggy with the dog in tow but I did do a hell of a lot of that as I was slowly going round the twist indoors

I did the survey a few days ago. I'm never sure if I'm meant to add to the thread or not...
I would have loved a group class in my area where the class involved exercising with my baby. To Both meet people and learn ways of keeping fit even with a baby who needed to be near me constantly.

I was going to go to a class called "pushy mums", but it was a bus, metro and another bus away, and that just seemed a bit much on top of the class, and the fact that I would have had to do it pushing a double buggy as DD1 was still too young, and I had a limp until about 18 months after having DD2 anyway.
Also, I'm a lazy arse.
Done but it wasn't clear what was meant by exercise. I haven't done any sports or gym or anything, but with a 3yr old and a baby to take care of, housework, gardening etc, I wasn't exactly sitting on my backside watching TV all day!

Done - but I was a bit confused about the 'first few months' thing - I thought that because of the mention of 3 months that it meant that so I probably underestimated what I did because I didn't start until 8 weeks and so was only just getting going by 3 months.
