I've just been reading some of the other threads and wondered which of us MN's had the biggest babies? Mine were a good size, 6lbs 2ozs and 6lbs 13ozs, but I know there must be bigger ones....
I'm pregnant with twins and went to a twins info eve the other day and one ladies were 8 4 and 6 6.
How many weeks were you when you had your twins?

Mine were 6.5 and 7.2 at 38 weeks. I was a comedy size before they were born - people pointing and giggling in the street - how rude!!
7 and 7lb11 at 38 weeks too. Luck I'm 6'2" but I was still very uncomfortable and ENORMOUS
.
Good lord, GBB hadn't realised they were bigger than mine! DD was 7lb7 ds3 was 6.8. I was 39+4.

I was induced at 37.5weeks. Just imagine NotQuiteSoBigBird had over 1 stone of babies, combined with the fluid etc you must have lost 1.5stone just giving birth! I remember the uncomfortable feeling and enormous doesn't come into it!!
i'm gonna go all out here and tell you that my b/g twins were 8lb12 and 7lb11 at 40weeks+2 after an induction. they sure didn't want to come out!! wonder what size they would have got to if i hadn't been induced! any ones bigger than these guys?

Its not just the weight. The fact you are carrying 2 whole bodies, twice the amount of fliud and in my case the consultant at the birth was amazed at the size of the placenta!!
I would NOT want to do it again!!!

My boy/girl twins were 7lb 3 and 7lb 9, born at 38+2. I'm only 5'4" and was like an elephant!
i agree absentminded carrying two babies is NOT something that i want to do again, in fact it has put me off being pregnant altogether and i shudder to think back to it!!
agree lulururu mine were only 4lb each and I was desparate for the pregnancy to end. I was huge mostly because I had lot of water in me. I don't think I ever want to go through that again. Shudder.
shudder is right!
how old are yours now anjlix? people keep saying that i'll want more later and mine are 17months now. really really not thinking so so far!
Mine are 4mos. No way I am ever getting pregnant again. People can say what they like. I stand firm!

Hi, my identical boys were born at 33 weeks and weighed 4lbs 11 oz and 5lbs 2oz. Tehy are now 16 weeks and weigh 12lbs and 12lbs 7oz. The smaller one at birth is now the bigger one.
First lot were 7,7 and 7,13. Second lot were 5 and 5,3.
Singleton was 6,10
Wow two sets of twins + 1. You must be super organized Tartan!

Mine were nearly 5 weeks (yes, five weeks) early and weighed 6.1lb and 6.3lbs... Imagine how much they would have weighed at term

mine were huge at the 32 week growth scan around 6lb ish.....but the consultant told me a multiple pregnancy is different in terms of weight to a sinlgelton pregnancy. A single baby will pile on the 1lbs and ozs in the last few weeks of the pregnancy whereas multiples have their major growth spurt in the middle months and not much in the end few weeks.
It worked both times for my 2 sets..early scans showed them as being around 9lb each at birth, but the growth slowed right down.
Mine were 8lb 3 and 6 lb 3 so the boy was whole 2 lb bigger than his twin sister. But I did go to 41 +4 !!!
I couldn't be induced as I had had a previous c section, ( which means you cant be induced ) and was really trying for natural birth.
I knew mine would be late as went to 42 + 3 days with my previous singleton dd, and EVEN when she was FINALLY born by c section consultant said she was not overdue at all ! in fact she was so high up in my womb -- not engaged at all, that he had real trouble trying to pull her out!
god, those last few weeks of pregnancy -arggg!

I went to 39+4 and my girls were 6lb 11 and 6lb 5. I thought they were very good weights but not compared to some of you ladies! Wow! My bump was pretty impressive - filled a doorway when I stood sideways!!!
