When organising a Mumsnet meet up you should take the same basic precautions you would when meeting anyone from the internet - make sure you meet in a public place and that others know where you are going. You can also meet up with other mums on your Mumsnet Local page. Find your Local page here.

EverybodyLovesWine Sat 26-Nov-11 19:27:40

From t'other side of Nottingham (Lincoln side) but would love to meet up if you lot are brave enough!! grin

Mibby Sat 26-Nov-11 20:00:12

Im in Carlton but I guess anything like this is probably best off in the city centre
?

booberella Sat 26-Nov-11 20:57:54

City centre easiest to get to for everyone probably. I am in bridgford (I promise I'm not a snob). How old is everyone's LOs?

Mibby Sat 26-Nov-11 20:59:34

DD is just over a year

ILovePonyo Sat 26-Nov-11 21:09:29

Hello! Can I come please? Am also a bit shy.

I live in Radford (I promise I'm not a rough'un wink), dd is 9 months.

Squigglywiggly Sat 26-Nov-11 21:16:39

Hello. I'm a bridgford lass too, but not typical bread and lard. Dd is 11 months...

Tempted but nervous about this - am in Beeston

I'm also in Beeston. Mine are school age and I work full-time so Ia m not exactly flexible! But I do like curry...

butterflyexperience Sun 27-Nov-11 00:35:20

I'm happy to say hello!

Are we doing evening or day?

booberella Sun 27-Nov-11 06:22:41

Unless it is late evening day is probably better for me- have to stat getting my 5 MO to bed by 6.30ish

I'm now wondering if I will already know you clemetteattlee Beeston is such a small place!

Evenings are not good for me for the next few months but I only work part time so can do days.

What day is best for everybody & what time?

My DD's are teens so I'm not tied to babysitters.grin

I'm happy to fit in early or late (or both!)

maxmissie Mon 28-Nov-11 22:04:48

I am also tempted but also a bit shy!! Can do evenings or Mon and Tues daytimes. Am in Mapperley. DD is 4 and DS is 2.

QueenofJacksDreams Tue 29-Nov-11 17:53:42

Very shy <anxiety sufferer> but this is a chance for me to work through that and hopefully make some new friends! I'm not fussy about times or days as can always grab the MIL to do the school run for me. I will say I am poor though with xmas coming up so would be happier if it was cheap. blush

I am in! Another one who feels a bit awkward in company but I am up for getting out & meeting people. I am in Gedling and have a 6 yo & a 7 month old. I am fairly flexible on timings - would January be better for people as its post-Christmas madness & people might have had a pay day by then?grin

booberella Wed 30-Nov-11 15:47:39

January might be a good idea. What sort of venue are we thinking? Coffee shop? Baby friendly pub for Dutch courage for the shy ones?!

etyksm Wed 30-Nov-11 15:53:26

Another here who maybe tempted. I have a 2.4yr old and 8week old. Day times better for me.

I'm Beeston as well! <Wonders if she knows clemetteattlee or LeonieDeSaintVire in rl>

I'll fit in with all you mums with youngsters, unless you want an excuse for a night out ladies? grin

January would be good, I agree we're all busy now & it's nice to have something to look forward to isn't it?

booberella baby friendly pub sounds good to me but as I'm child-free
(extra lap for cuddles or feeding available) I'll go with the majority.

There'll always be someone who can't make it!

ILovePonyo Wed 30-Nov-11 17:27:44

Hi all, agree January would be better - I have a 9 month old so baby friendly pub would suit me, thurs and fri's are best but I can always fit in with whatever is decided.

Any suggestions for easy to get to baby friendly pub?!

Squigglywiggly Wed 30-Nov-11 17:57:26

There is the goose at gamston with a soft play area - although that may be a little far if no car. No ideas on anywhere central sadly.

Knakard Wed 30-Nov-11 18:00:21

I'm in! Have a 4 yo ds. I'm up for a day time meet with kids or a ladies night. I'm in colwick.
