A supportive and slightly fluffy thread for those dealing with the issues of ttc longterm, whether with assisted fertility or not.

All DHs fault, he went out and didn't hide the test sticks. Woohoo! I'm diffed!
I so so hope this works.
What if it's twins?!

OMG, so so happy right now.

Brilliant news delilah really happy for you x

HavingALittleFaithBaby Sat 02-Feb-13 14:54:24

Fantastic news Delilah! grin grin grin See, I told you no symptoms meant nothing!!! Praying its sticky smile

delilahbelle Sat 02-Feb-13 15:12:23

Thanks waiting smile

faith I now have cramps and the sore boobs back with a vengeance, but I'm loving it. Bring on every symptom going, I want them all! grin

Please don't remind me of this post if I whinge about morning sickness in a months time grin

HavingALittleFaithBaby Sat 02-Feb-13 15:26:52

I found the ms a mixed blessing. Reassuring to be puking and having signs of being pregnant but also rather unpleasant and inconvenient! I only ever really whined to DH and once at work where I had to run off twice during handover

Omg congrats!!!! So happy for you will be keeping everything crossed for a sticky bean!

And by the way I did look at the graduates page just didn't post but am intending to so it wasn't made in vain grin

delilahbelle Sun 03-Feb-13 09:21:43

Agh, woke up today to complete lack of symptoms again. Unfortunately went the the toilet so can't even test again for reassurance.

Nothing I can do but wait and hope until the viability scan. Will have to find out from clinic when they want this.

pinkapples Sun 03-Feb-13 13:46:23

I didn't have any real symptoms till about 10 weeks (when yet technically should be nearly time for stopping) I never had sore boobs or cramps just sickness that hit about 9 weeks ish so no symptoms means nothing this early grin

delilahbelle Sun 03-Feb-13 14:05:55

DH and a bit of googling has reminded me that any symptoms this early are likely to be from the drugs. I feel a bit happier now, nothing I can do but take things one step at a time. Hopefully I'll be posting on the graduates thread soon.

Much darker test this morning - good.

More period-y cramps and possibly brown tinged CM - very very bad.

Scared, terrifed and praying with all of my heart this isn't the end.

pinkapples Mon 04-Feb-13 14:38:13

Don't panic brown is good its red that's a bad sign and with a darker test too! grin

pinkapples Mon 04-Feb-13 18:25:19

Heard baby again today and hubby heard her for the 1st time grin booked in for 26 week bloods and GTT test sounds great bloods in morning then a twix/mars bar and glucose drink 2 hour watching tv then more bloods smile

delilahbelle Mon 04-Feb-13 18:25:20

More pink/brown spotting and really bad AF cramps now.
I will continue to use my cheap tests up bu this feels like another chemical. We had beautiful perfect embryos put back, so it really feels like my fault this time.

Going to the doctors first thing tomorrow.

flixy102 Mon 04-Feb-13 18:27:23

Hey everyone! Wow look at all the positive (literally!!) things happening in the hut at tho moment. I've been a bit absent as I haven't really been feeling very confident with the whole TTC thing.

But I've got a private gynae appointment this Wednesday which I'm so nervous about as they will be able to do a scan there and then and my DH can't get out of work so if there is a problem discovered I'll be in my own. hmm

pinkapples Mon 04-Feb-13 18:33:39

Awww flixy fingers crossed everything ok for you

Try not to worry Delilah its good that you were able to get a doctors appointment tho

flixy102 Mon 04-Feb-13 18:34:04

Oh Delilah. sad I'm sending positive vibes your way and crossing everything I have for you.

HavingALittleFaithBaby Mon 04-Feb-13 18:57:27

Delilah, what are you? 10 days post transfer? It's just so early on. I really hope it's not bad news. I had loads of cramps after my BFP. Did you have more than one embryo transferred?

flixy I hope the appointment goes ok for you.

delilahbelle Mon 04-Feb-13 19:04:16

faith I'm 11dp2dt. That's my other hope, I had two embryos transfered, I am hoping and praying they both implanted and these cramps are me just losing one. They are getting really bad though, if this was a normal cycle I would have taken a couple of ibuprofen now and would be expecting AF to arrive overnight.

Bloody shitty life and IVF. I've just read another post on here about some considering getting pregnant and then aborting if they get bad sickness. I would love to be chucking my guts up and feeling sick, rather than on this merry-go-round of drugs and failed cycles.

waitingtobeamummy Mon 04-Feb-13 19:27:41

Hey delilah just wanted to say that my friend had bad cramps and blood and its because she was carrying twins. ( I don't understand why) and the pregnancy was fine.
I'm still here. Due my period on Saturday. Know my clomid hasn't worked this month then I've got a month off before bk to specialist for more clomid. Feel very down about it all but keep going.

pinkapples Mon 04-Feb-13 19:32:17

Can you request to be moved onto something else? How many cycles of clomid have you had now?

delilahbelle Mon 04-Feb-13 19:34:35

waiting this fertility stuff really is sucky isn't it? If I had known when I was younger how hard it was to get pregnant... I even took the MA pill when me and DH first got together.

Oh well, what will be will be. Planning a few house improvements and then a holiday somewhere amazing this summer.

waitingtobeamummy Mon 04-Feb-13 19:34:35

I've had 3 cycles so far. It's defiantly working as I'm ovulating, I have no blockages etc. I don't know what else they could do. We don't want ivf etc so I don't know what else would be a possibility.

waitingtobeamummy Mon 04-Feb-13 19:37:00

Cross posts Delilah. It's shit. I'm teaching sex ed this week. Want to say to the teenagers it's really quite difficult to conceive- so make sure you go for it :-) obviously I won't but your always told aren't you that all it takes is one time with no contraception. How are you feeling now? And more cramps. Hoping for you

delilahbelle Mon 04-Feb-13 19:51:01

waiting how many cycles of clomid are you allowed in total?

I know I will be a mum one day, if nothing else works then I will consider adoption, although at the moment DH is less keen on this.

Some really bad cramps here and (TMI) the normal preAF loose bowels.
Lucky me. My cats are sitting in bed with me and I've got the heating going full blast, considering cracking open the chocolate biscuits.

waitingtobeamummy Mon 04-Feb-13 19:58:59

My fertility nurse said 12 but reading on here i think she's probably botched up ( they do frequently) and that its only 6. Before any of this happened, before we'd even started to ttc we'd always said adoption so it seems like the logical next step.
I'm really hoping for you and that tomorrow things look a lot better. Open the biscuits, our cat as just shoved her head in my Swiss roll and custard! Greedy devil!
