Fish tank in bedroom - how big can it be

Dd wants a tank to go in her room. We have bought one from eBay that is 125 litres. Is that going to be too heavy to have in a bedroom? And if so, what size would be ok?

No, 125 litres should be fine, I've had bigger than that upstairs. 1 litre weighs just about a kilo so 125 litres is no heavier than a large person. If you can set it up so that it lays across the floor rafters rather than along them then that will make it even safer.

If you want to make doubly sure then a builder would be able to tell you the approximate weight limit :)

Thanks for that. Will talk to the guy who built our house. Great idea!
