She will talk about a care plan, talk about meds, and maybe put some things in place, like exercise, help with childcare, and see if any therapy will be of any use. It will just be a chat, and getting to know each other and how she can help so don't worry. You may be given numbers to ring too, such as Samaritans, and other helplines. Hope it goes ok.

i get terribly anxious and upset getting out these days, even when accompanied. still i can tell the CPN that when i see him/ her. i'm sure others find it a struggle to get out and access help.
i've been offered work experience in a social enterprise that helps mentally ill persons (replaces the old day hospital) but just can't bring myself to go without much distress.

Maybe they will support you to go the first few times then it will get easier to go. Could even take something to help with the anxiety for the first couple of times, and reward yourself if you manage to go? I sometimes really struggle with work, I only work two days, and can get so worked up I cry all the way there and have horrible thoughts, but usually once I'm there it's ok. If I call in sick it actually makes me feel worse and I spend the day in bed. Can be so up and down, which is what is hard to deal with.

i usually need someone with me when i go out (shopping or church) unless it's just a brief walk, so CPN can accompany to the social enterprise or some voluntary work. still terrifying me though.
