Hello lovely ladies
Can I join in?
I'm flitting between this and the first-timers thread
And it was my 28th birthday a couple of weeks ago and I'm realising my opportunities to call myself a 20-something are fast running out, so I'm making the most of them!
Wishing lots of luck to everyone

AntdamnUallToHell Fri 30-Oct-09 11:12:52

Welcome Katiecubs and sparechange

Hope this Brand spanking new thread brings you the luck you need.

I still have nothing to report -my last 'real' period was on the 26th September - followed by a three day light visit 2weeks later. So, I think they are just playing up again (just my luck) - Will wait til about 10th November to test if there hasn't been a visit.

Like, I said I am not getting my hopes up

whittywantababy6 Fri 30-Oct-09 12:31:32

Hey ladies....remember me...lol....took a break...not ttc at the moment...but I missed you guys....I see alot has happend while I was on my break...not sure when Im going to try again but hopefully soon Im shooting for december might get lucky on my birthday lol...did the calculation already and I will be ovulating lol wink but I hope all is well

jumblequeen Fri 30-Oct-09 12:47:06

Phew! This is much more easy to digest. Glad to be back on board the twenty-something bus... smile

In the two week waiting period... AF due on the 14th of November. Anyone want to be cycle buddies??

jumblequeen Fri 30-Oct-09 12:47:51

Oops! I mean the 9th... It's come around sooner than I thought grin

AntdamnUallToHell Fri 30-Oct-09 17:33:12

Hey Whitty!!!

Hope you are doing well. What a nice birthday treat for you grin

Jumble - I am going to be testing around the 10th of november if I haven't had a visit, so I'll join you if I can.

jumblequeen Sat 31-Oct-09 10:35:14

AntdamnUallToHell - yes, definitely.... Getting impatient already. I almost reached for a test today simply because I want to be pg so much... silly, I know!

When will everyone else be testing?

KayloSpellmaker Sat 31-Oct-09 12:43:03

Whitty.....HI!!!

Hope you're ok chick!!! Was wondering where you'd gone. smile

And I hope everyone else is well - nothing at all to report from me...too early to 'BD.

xxx

AntdamnUallToHell Sat 31-Oct-09 15:02:21

Jumblequeen - that is precisely why I have no tests in the house - no temptation!! smile

I am still unsure as to what is going on with me - The only symptom I have (although I am NOT symptom spotting) is I have been more hungry than usual. For instance, once a fortnight DP and I get an Indian takeaway, usually I can only manage half a meal - the rest goes in the fridge and I eat it the following day for my lunch blush But last night I managed the whole thing - which DP noticed.

Though it could just be that I am being a greedy bugger grin

jumblequeen Sun 01-Nov-09 11:46:52

AntdamnUallToHell - you're totally right. I've hidden mine now... at least I'm not tempted every time I brush my teeth! smile

I'm definitely not symptom spotting this time around... this is my second cycle and I've learnt from my first experience that doing so and then being greeted by a visit from AF can only lead to disappointment sad. Much better to focus on eating well and sleeping well and doing all the things your body would want you to do if you were pregnant.

mazza999 Sun 01-Nov-09 12:51:15

Hi I'm new to Mum's net. I just wondered if anyone has experience/advice for my issue.
I'm 26 and was on microgynon 30 for 9 years. I came off the pill in the middle of June 2009 and we starting trying to conceive at the beginning of August 2009. My first period after the pill was 26 days so average. Since then my cycle has gone 34 days (July),32 days(August),36 days (September) and so far this month I'm on day 37 - did a pregnancy test this morning and it came back negative!! I'm trying to be patient but each month I feel more and more deflated.

Please help.
Thanks

jumblequeen Sun 01-Nov-09 13:00:33

mazza999 - hello and welcome...

I can't offer any concrete advice but can say this: I am the same age as you and was on microgynon for about the same length of time... my periods (and cycle) have returned to normal after two months. Perhaps it's worth getting checked out by your doctor just for peace of mind if nothing else? Try not to beat yourself up too much - after being on the pill for any length of time your body is bound to take a while to readjust, and everyone is different smile

Hello everyone grin

welcome newbies!! good luck to you all!!

Whitty im glad you're back!

Ant i hope for your sake af does not start playing up again-it's strange about the hunger thing+your 3 day af visit...would you not do a teeny weeny test and put your mind at ease?

Well i had my hospital appointment on friday and it went brilliantly grin(I had been referred cause wasnt ov,and have been ttc for 18mths)
Lo and behold when the doc did internal scan there was a lovely big egg in my left ovary almost ready to burst out!!!!

The doc said it is prob due to the weight i have lost recently and told me to get bding!! grin grin (Joined weightwatchers 5 weeks ago and have lost 16lb)

He also gave me a prescription for 50mg of clomid which i have to start if i dont conceive this month, but he said hopefully i wont need it.

And just to add that everything else was normal, and i feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders,so needless to say i am very pleased with the outcome.

Did everyone have a nice halloween?

AntdamnUallToHell Mon 02-Nov-09 00:41:12

Hey Ladies,

Seany - I am so glad that everything went so well for you at the docs grin You sound very very positive!!
Well done on the weight loss, that is really great. I hope you don't need the clomid either wink

I have no tests in the house (to stave off temptation) and won't be going into town til Wednesday, so will have to wait til then.

I know I am gonna feel quite daft when AF shows up and it turns out that I am just a greedy git blush Will just have to wait and see.

DP went to Derry for Halloween, hada brill time. I stayed home with DS and handed out sweets to the kids, it was fun.

Hey Ant,

Thank you grin,I must admit i am feeling quite positive.

Don't be embarrassed we all have a pig out day from time to time wink

I've heard h'ween in derry is meant to be great-was dp very hungover yesterday? grin

AntdamnUallToHell Mon 02-Nov-09 13:26:10

Thankfully he wasn't too bad. He stops himself getting too drunk and starts drinking water. He is good that way. Can't say the same for his brother, who was with him......smile

Am feeling a bit funny today......

Be back later, need to go pick up DS

ant how are you feeling today???

How are the rest of you lovely ladies doing?

sparechange Tue 03-Nov-09 11:53:21

Hello ladies
I had a BFN at the weekend sad
To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be anything different, but it was our wedding anniversary and we were going out of a nice meal, so I tested to be on the safe side before I got carried away with champagne!
I'm still about down in the dumps about it - silly isn't it

Any one have any news?

AntdamnUallToHell Tue 03-Nov-09 12:07:51

Aww Sparechange sad
Were you late? Or were you testing just in case?

I have no news to report, still feel funny - just a bit off - cant explain it.

Nearly bought a test today, but managed to restrain myself.

But am going to buy one tomorrow if I get a chance. But will definitely NOT be testing til the 10th if I am still waiting.

How is everyone else????

Seany?
Kaylo?
Jumble?

jumblequeen Tue 03-Nov-09 15:21:34

Hello girls,

Well I'm now 7 DPO and pretty much climbing the walls. A bit of cramping, a bit of back-ache.. the usual suspects when AF is on her way but I'm hoping that it's those somewhat misguided pg symptoms instead! AF due monday. Our bodies have a cruel way of tricking us, don't they? wink

jumblequeen Tue 03-Nov-09 15:23:35

P.s. What a lovely thread this is! everyone is so supportive. I'm hoping it'll bring good luck for everyone...
