Wow that last bus was an amazing bumper BFP filled bus where we were all crying and screaming for joy as lots of our lovely passengers got their BFPs…🙌🏻we are having an ADVENT CALENDAR of a BFP each day! 🥰❤️

There’s still some ppl lingering on this bus so that’s it, I’m calling time, all the rest of you are due off this bus with your 2 lines please 🤞🏻

This is the bus where we’ve got lots of things going on, bumps, rainbows 🌈, ivf, and now lots more miracle BFPs before ivf! Maybe we should issue passengers with an ivf referral on your way in too to help spur those eggs & sperm into action!

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

Hello, can I (re)join this bus? I posted a few times a few buses back and completely lost track/couldn’t keep up so I’ll try again!

I’ve been TTC first baby since April, got a BFP in October but sadly had an early miscarriage some time between 6 and 7 weeks Sad I’m just finishing my first period after the miscarriage, cycle day 4 and looking forward to trying again and moving on but still feeling sad at times, especially this week as it should have been my 12 week scan soon and we were looking forward to making a Christmas announcement!

So happy to see some names I recognise from the last bus I joined on the bumps list!! Congratulations everyone!

Thanks for the new bus @Minster2012 let's hope the bfp advent calendar continues and Dec sees many more of our ladies promoted to the bumps list 🤞

I'm having a moan but it's a festive one 😂 I've I've got sky or disney+, but do pay for both amazon and netflix but the Christmas movie selection this year is pants! I can't watch, elf, muppets Christmas Carol, miracle on 34th Street, polar express, the Grinch, Santa Claus can't remember what other ones I searches for but it was a lot. What's the point in paying for services if they dont deliver the good old must watch childrens Christmas movies, bah humbug Netflix and Amazon! DS ended up choosing to watch Gummi bear Christmas, that annoying little green bear from the equally annoying gummi bear song that was out. 🤯 Going to have to cave and buy one from amazon to educate DS on proper Christmas movies!

Welcome back @JuniperAndTonic sorry you're having to join another bus but you're in good company here!

Cheers for the bus drive! Like your lights FYI @Minster2012

Where does extraordinarily clumsy fit in terms of symptom spotting?! Today I have thrown half a cup of coffee over the sofa, broken one of our 'initial' Christmas candles (thankfully not expensive), screwed up the WiFi so I interrupted the meat smoker and tripped the child up 🤦🏻‍♀️

Replying from the last bus...

@kaylsd I do love wrapping the first bits but then when I get onto OH's families I'm like woowww this is draining!! Hahhaa love that, it's like a personal touch! So glad you got your dark line!!

@Lexber definitely, I agree! However, what's this side car?

@DKDK123 oh that is very annoying! I'd be fuming!!

@JuniperAndTonic welcome back!! Sorry you went through that, hopefully this bus will give you some luck!

@larrythelizard hahaha it sounds like you need a drink!!

So girls, a dilemma, we go to Edinburgh on Thursday and we're taking the dogs, going on the train and we've booked a dog friendly hotel which seems so cute! Anyway out of all the stuff that we have planned there's a a couple of things booked that the dogs can't go to so we said we'll just leave them in the room, we booked a family suite so there's plenty of room and they're such well behaved dogs, will literally just sleep until we get back, but I thought I'd email the hotel just to check, anyway they replied saying "they do not recommend leaving the dogs in the hotel room" and they "advise booking local pet services", I mean I know they don't recommend it but it obviously isn't a rule that you aren't allowed otherwise they would've said "we don't allow dogs in the room unsupervised" am I right? I mean there's no chance on earth they'd do anything wrong and even if they did we'd pay for the damage, I said to OH maybe we leave the dogs with his mum and don't risk it but he was like no it's fine it isn't a rule thst we can't do it and they aren't on their own all day, it's just a couple of hours the Thursday and a couple of hours the Friday, but now I'm like ahhh what if they kick us out🤣

@Vil10 they’d be ok for a couple of hours surely? I know the hotel has to say they don’t recommend it as some people might take the proverbial, but if you know your pups won’t cry without you or tear the place up then you should be fine. It’s not much longer than if you had a leisurely dinner in their restaurant (I’m assuming they have one) and don’t think they expect you to bring your dogs with you or book a sitter for that…

Haiyaa · 05/12/2021 13:55

Hopping (or rather stumbling in an ungainly manner) onto the bus! Hope this one is as good as the last one and we get lots more Christmas miracles!

@DKDK123 have you tried Klaus on Netflix? And The Christmas Chronicles 1&2? Can recommend! But I’m easily pleased by Christmas films 😂

Report
DKDK123 · 05/12/2021 13:57

@vil10 have they been left on their own in hotel rooms before and were they OK with it? All the additional footsteps in the hallway and sounds of a hotel might unsettle them a bit if they're not used to it but if they are used to it in other hotels and have had no problems then by the sounds of it it's not a hotel rule just a recommendation so surely they can't kick you out? The only problem you may face is room service going in while you're not there may let the dogs escape if they don't know they're alone and just open the door.
Does the hotel have WiFi, you could get one of those baby monitors that you get an app on your phone to view? I got one for when I was at work when we had a dog as the neighbour was complaining my dog barked all day. I logged into the app multiple times every day and each time my dog was either snoozing belly up on the couch or playing with it's toys, turns out it was someone else's dog that was barking all day from a few doors down. But something like that in the hotel room you could check in on them and come back from your activity early if they seem distressed.

Thank you @larrythelizard. Clumsiness sounds like me every day to be honest - I’m always doing that sort of thing 😂

@Vil10 thank you! I’m getting there, hope it’s a short ride and the rumours about being super fertile after a miscarriage are true!! I guess if you’re sure they’ll be okay, I don’t think they’ll be able to kick you out of it isn’t a rule! Think I’d be too anxious to leave them personally though, but depends if you normally leave them alone anyway!

@Vil10 you can't leave dogs alone at any of the holiday cottages we have been to. I certainly wouldn't expect to do it in a hotel. Most dogs aren't OK if somewhere new? So that sounds completely standard rules to me.

2020mission · 05/12/2021 15:23

Aww both happy and sad to see the list of bumps longer than the list TTC. I'm sure more ladies will be graduating soon though! We've seen it can happen even after years.

@Vil10 it sounds to me like they'd just prefer you didn't leave the dogs but not a rule so it should be ok? How long would they be left in for? I know dogs left in alone overnight could disturb neighbouring rooms if they are howling but that's unlikely to happen if you are just popping out for the day/evening and would be back and there with them all night. Like you say, you'd cover any damage if they did anything while you were out! What things have you got planned in Edinburgh? Its lovely there at Christmas. I live in Glasgow and sadly they have cancelled the main George Square Christmas markets here 😔 but we still have a huge ice rink and silent snow disco going on in the west end for some entertainment. Its ran by my workplace but sadly I can't go on the ice in my current state 😅 gutted
