Oh FFS Katie Price is pg again, I want to cry!!!!!!! Why does she deserve another one and not me?!? sad

Thunderbuns Sun 24-Feb-13 09:20:56

Hi bunny, marking my place <and nursing a hangover>

Thanks for the new thread! Going back to what boodle said about dtd pre ov. If for example I get my smiley on a Weds, (I don't really get noticeable ewcm and don't temp), critical time to be dtd is tues- fri really? Just talking minimum windows really as I'm trying to work out when OH shouldn't be going away.

I totally agree re baby showers. Horrible things.

Nice new thread name x

And I can't stand that awful old hag KP

Thunderbuns - If O is weds you want to be dtd from 5 days before as sperm can sit there waiting for the egg for 5 days, so start on the Friday before and as many days as you want (whether you're going on the every day or every other day theory) up to O plus the day after as O can last 24-36 hours.

Hello shiny new thread, hope to not need you very long smile --but probably will as I've given up thinking anything will happen until something is done to help things along--

Thunderbuns Sun 24-Feb-13 09:40:35

Hey barking, thank you for this wisdom. However- smiley doesn't = O does it? I though smiley meant O might happen in the next day or two?

Basically I need to dtd all that week don't I? Which is not good if OH is going to be away for half of it. Damn damn damn.

Soph80 Sun 24-Feb-13 09:45:04

Well done re new thread Bunny. Have you started POAS yet? Did one yesterday even if it was too early but usual result.

How is everyone's weekend? Went to Marco Pierre Whites last night - great food, shame about the piece of plastic that came with it. Ah well free meal and 2 bottles of £37 prosecco kinda made up for it!

Sorry if I'm confusing you then, I use the CBFM and that tells me peak days and then the O day, so I need to be dtd on all the peak days as they're leading up to the O day (and then as well!) I shall shut my mouth refrain from talking about a different product that I don't know about!

Thunderbuns Sun 24-Feb-13 09:47:25

Wow soph that's great. Was it a big cut-your-throat-open kind of piece of plastic? Did you fish it out of your starter or sommat? What day dpo are you?

Hello Soph I've had a really lovely week off (teacher, half term) so this weekend has been/is crap as I'm trying to do all the work I put off all week (hence posting on here too much while I avoid my lesson planning. I'll probably go all quiet after this week as work will take over my life again!!)

Thunderbuns Sun 24-Feb-13 09:49:51

No you're fine barking- what you're saying translates to cb digi opks too- just gives me a lot less detail, ie only when lh surge is so a rough window of when O is likely to come. So you're right the crucial window is sonething like 3 days before smiley and two days after it. Which is why we're buggered!

Bunnygirlie Sun 24-Feb-13 09:57:18

Is it a bird, is it a plane, no its super-painful period!!!

So it's 9 months of failure, obviously not as long as some of you lovely ladies have been trying, but I think hitting the 9 month mark is especially poignant as its the length of a pregnancy sad

Soph80 Sun 24-Feb-13 10:04:13

Yes!!! It was a sharp piece of hard plastic from the dauphinoise pot!!!! What annoyed me most is the manager kept saying about how I wasn't at risk! Should have mentioned that I'm a dietitian and I've had years of experience with oesophageal perforation!!!!

I got sick to the back teeth of my CBFM, might put it on ebay actually lol

happylass Australia Sun 24-Feb-13 10:10:34

Well hello shiney new thread. < Takes a temporary seat >. Hoping for a many BFPs on here as we haven't had one since what, thread 2?!?

Sorry to hear about AF Bunny sad

Thunder I usually get my smile on cd10 and OV on cd11/12 so you should be fine Tues-Fri but I would go for Monday too if poss, just to be sure! Do you always OV on the same day?

Soph80 Sun 24-Feb-13 10:15:28

Bunny - rubbish news!

Have re-done the summary as just realised I've put mine wrong by a year lol

Girls, can I ask your advice? We have a lovely nursery, already beautifully decorated in neutral Mamas and Papas wallpaper by the previous owner. Its just the sort of thing I'd like. I know its silly, but do you think I'm tempting fate by already having a nursery? Part of me thinks I should just redecorate. What do you think?????

twinklestar2 Sun 24-Feb-13 10:19:38

Hello all!

Soph - what was your OH's morphology result as you said it was low?

Hello new thread, loving the name. Will add myself to the list when I'm not on my phone so I can copy and paste.
Soph-which Marco restaurant was it? We've been talking about going for ages but never got round to it

Thunderbuns Sun 24-Feb-13 10:20:48

Bloody hell soph that is not good! But getting the meal and booze free is a good thing as long as no harm done.

Hi happy, no idea of I O same day- only just starting using opks and only just getting back to normal after mmc too, so no idea but I expect it may be around the same time next month. OH announced he's working away for some of that week but we don't know which part of it yet, but whatever happens we're not going to be able to dtd tues-fri which is why I'm starting to feel gutted already.

Ouch bunny poor you sad

Soph- how long have you lived there? I have a feeling I would redecorate just to invoke Sod's law and get pregnant and have to redecorate again!
At this stage I'd try anything

Soph80 Sun 24-Feb-13 10:46:43

Notwithout - thats what I was thinking! We've lived there for 15 months.

Re MPW - it was the Birmingham one.

Twinkle - morph was 3% but consultant said it was nothing to worry about as count and motility was above average. Also, have been dishing out the vits, hes hardly been drinking and hes been doing load of exercise lately so hopefully the result would be higher if we checked now. Will have another at our IUI in about 4 months. How have you been? x

Thunderbuns Sun 24-Feb-13 10:49:18

Yeah I might be tempted to redecorate too, just to tempt fate. The month I got a bfp I'd just bought a shed load of tampons. Went out and bought a huge box yesterday. Come on Sod and your law- play the game!
