She was the person for whom the phrase 'life and soul of the party' was invented.
She had been ill for some months with liver failure caused by Hep C.
Her daughter rang me 2 hours ago to say she had lost the battle.
I am sat here on my own devastated.

I'm so sorry.
I should have been asleep hours ago so I can't stay up but I saw your post and had to respond before logging off. I really hope that other night owls or those in other time zones will be along soon to help you feel less alone.
"Mad funny beautiful" is such a lovely, vivid way to be described; she sounds wonderful.
Wishing you the strength and support you'll need to come to terms with a loss so profound.

Thanks for your kind words.
She was 5 years older than me: 51 but didnt look it at all. She has 4 children aged between 30 and 13.
My Mum and sisters are only about 1/2 an hour away, but she lived about 2 1/2 hours drive away. Currently plan is to drive up in the morning to see her partner.

Sorry for your loss.
I know it seems far too soon but your sister sounds amazing and full of life so it would have been worse for her if it all dragged on.
It's no consolation now but at least you'll know she wasn't too sapped of that bright energy by a horrible long drawn out illness.
Take care of yourself x
so sorry for your loss.
She sounds like one wonderful lady.
<hugs and hand holding>
So sorry for the loss of your lovely sister - she sounded truely amazing xx
