what about divella ?
Fishie - just answered my own question! They are sisters.
Diva not Dive!
Fishie - was Dive Zappa formerly known as Moonunit Zappa?
Diva will become a lovely little poledancer or hooker maybe...sorry....honest...not a good choice for a little girl
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
didn't do
diva zappa any harm.
Please tell me I didnt read Zilla as a suggestion? Is she a dinosaur or something?
it would not be the kindest of choices for your child, but i can understand why you like it.
Hmm no not really.
But kinda similar in an anagram sort of way, I've always quite liked Veda/Vida (from excellent Joan Crawford film 'Mildred Pierce')
I have an asian friend called Deeva, I like it spelt like this only. She is beautiful.
Err, no. Don't be rediculous.
Only if she is.
If you have to, at least have it being short for something beginning with D so that she can change it to that when she realises what an atrocious name you have landed her with.
Mine ears are bleeding from this name...NO NO NO
Ok, well thanks for your honest opinions.
I still like it though and would consider using it.
Pls tell me you're joking
I once knew a rotteweiler called Diva. It's a very good name for a rotteweiler.
Why the &&&& would you saddle your daughter with "Diva" as a name? Unless you are cruel, evil or stupid.
no
NO
you may not be able to afford the entourage
No!!! awful
Thanks all.
Diva is quite a common name in local school - large Asian poulation, so not that strange around here.
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Oh no, no, no, no, noooooooooo!!!
I also like Vita. And Lucy and Amelia. But Vita more unusual.
NO
Davina in fine though

I like Vita.
awful!

It's not a name - it's description of someone who is selfish, bullying, proud, prissy and demanding.
Hardly good qualities!!!Poor girl, she will get bullied so much.
i am snaps with greensleeves tonight

It's less common than Lucy or Amelia
but they are both lovely names too

I like that, thanks.
Would you go for that over lucy or amelia?
yes, life, like Greeny said.
Vita is a very cool name.
Dita and Rita are also lovely. So is Zilla.
It means life
my adopted baby sister was called Vita, before my mother changed it
Vita Ana Cecilia
beautiful IMO
When she's being stroppy you can tell her off for being a right little diva and she'll reply that it's your fault for calling her that and she's just living up to expectations.
Vita is nice Debi, what does it mean do you know?
No, no, no.
not unless you want her to grow up like one!
Oh God. What is going on with people these days. Just forget the silly names and pick ones that people won't take the piss out of. Diva is a not particularly nice word not a name.
Vita?
PMSL at LUcy DIva.
No no no.
Just no to Diva full stop.
Unless you already have a boy called Thesp. Or a girl called Sneer. IN which case go for it.
Davina is nice actually.
How about Dina, or Dinah, or Davina?
Prefer Godiva.
No not Indian Aranea.
So most people are saying no then.
I still like it a lot, would it be ok as a middle name do you think? Like Lucy Diva?
Are you Indian? I know a little Diva and I think it's really pretty. But I don't think it would work if you weren't Indian tbh.

tearinghairout. Good trollspotting

I think the Op is having us on - see her other thread
How about Divvika? I knew a little Hindu girl called this, it sounded very pretty and I think it means "gift of light"
It's not a name. sounds more like an insult - don't do it.
Hell, no.
Absolutely no for this one.
really really not
sorry no
She will have children and adults alike giggling behind her back and in front of her for the whole of her life, that's why.
You could call her 'prima donna' instead...
Oooh! I have never EVER said no on a baby name thread before.
But NO!
No no no no no no no.
you do get it means a pain in the arse basically dont you!
No because of the meaning. She would be constantly bullied.
Can I ask why you would consider it?
Lol you are joking i hope????
Why no, just out of interest?
Errrr no.
God, no.
Amelia and Lucy okay, much better than Diva but I don't love them.
Much better than Diva!
Tell me you are joking, yes?
Hmm ok.
I kind of vary wildly between something like that and something v traditional.
What do you think of Amelia or Lucy?
NO
you;d be asking for a whole heap of trouble i think
no
>>gavel>>
no
No, no, no.
Divvy as a nickname?
no, no, no

Are you serious?
Yeh, it's great.
What about Beeyatch for a middle name?
under no circumstances
I quite like it.
