All lovely names, except Kitty, which I don't like. My favourites are Isobel, Erin and Poppy.

I was going to say Isobel until I saw your ds's name - Isobel and Billy are too similar and don't go well together. Next favourite would be Erin. Poppy and Kitty are sweet for a child but too girly for an adult IMO.

Poppy was at the top of my girls list if this bump was a girl! All lovely choices though!

Kitty. I heart the name Kitty.

All very popular names!
Can't believe Milti thinks Ava is unusual

My favourite from that list is Poppy.

Ava and Kitty - Both unusual (around here anyway) but not trying to hard to be different. I think they suit all ages. Both go well with Billy.

Isobel/Isabella/bella/issy - lots and lots about and agree that it's very similar to Billy

Poppy - very girly

Erin - dd was very nearly Erin, had loads of people tell me how much they hated it. I bowed to peer presure and it's made me go off it too. Quite a hard name but I liked it a lot 6 years ago!

Ava - least keen on this but don't know why.
Erin-like it and sounds nice with Billy
Isobel - love this but think it's too similar to Billy
Kitty -like it
Poppy - too girly for me

I met a sib pair called Billy and Nancy not so long ago and thought that was quite a cool combo.

Ava and Isobel - Both lovely names. Unfortunatly both very popular though - I know about 5 of each.

Erin - Along with Shannon i'm not keen on these types of Irish names. How about a real Irish name like Aoife or Caoimhe.

Kitty & Poppy imo don't sound good with Billy - overkill on the cute factor.

Cryptoprocta · 23/11/2008 19:44

I think Erin is good with Billy. Billy and Nancy does sound a bit like a Victorian musical.

dh just vetoed Nancy and he hates all my boy choices! awkward so and so - doesnt he know you should never argue with a pregnant lady!
