IwishIwasmoreorganised · 24/02/2013 21:05

Boy probably, but I would be a bit like this Confused.

LilyAmaryllis · 24/02/2013 21:05

boy?

HyvaPaiva · 24/02/2013 21:05

I'm afraid I'd automatically think 'that's not a name, it's a state' Blush. Sorry.

Flossy78 · 24/02/2013 21:05

Boy I think

monkeyfacegrace · 24/02/2013 21:06

I wouldnt think anything.

Id either search for a dog or laugh.

SandStorm · 24/02/2013 21:07

I'd think girl but I would also think "poor child".

sleepdodger · 24/02/2013 21:08

Lucyellensmum95 · 24/02/2013 21:09

CarriedAwayAnnie · 24/02/2013 21:10

Boy.

Awful.

Esp for a girl.

sleepdodger · 24/02/2013 21:10

There is a sister and she has a less common but conventional normal girls name Shock

Flojobunny · 24/02/2013 21:10

Boy, though would probably say "Haha what did you really call her? Nobody would he that stupid or cruel"

MortifiedAdams · 24/02/2013 21:11

Boy.

Id be Hmm too but there have been some weird baby names round my way lately (Payton and Bram to name but a few) so I am starting to feel immune.

IHeartKingThistle · 24/02/2013 21:13

There was a girl on hollyoaks called Texas. Might that have been the inspiration? !

CarlingBlackMabel · 24/02/2013 21:14

Part Boy, part calculator?

raisah · 24/02/2013 21:16

Boy
awful to be named after the state George W Bush is from. What were they thinking?

akaemmafrost · 24/02/2013 21:19

Bram? As in Stoker? The author of Dracula? Shock

surroundedbyblondes · 24/02/2013 21:20

There's a recent baby boy in my SILs family named Texas. His parents have genuinely explained that their inspiration came from an on-line poker game Hmm

Mononoke · 24/02/2013 21:21

Boy, I think Tex sounds quite nice as a nn.

Rivergirly · 24/02/2013 21:23

I'm with I heart - think they took inspiration from Texas on Hollyoaks. Also have a fully grown male friend called Dallas and oddly it really suits him!!

MortifiedAdams · 24/02/2013 21:25

Yup Bram, Emma

BigGiantCowWithAKnockKnockTail · 24/02/2013 21:27

Was she conceived in Texas? I can honestly think of NO other reason to inflict such a name on a child. Not that even that would be a good one.

Hassled · 24/02/2013 21:28

I think I'd think girl - on the basis that aren't all US states female? Like boats, or summat?

Trazzletoes · 24/02/2013 21:29

Makes me think of Texas Pete from Superted. That was his name, wasn't it?

montmartre · 24/02/2013 21:31

What the heck is wrong with Bram? At least it is a real name for a person, unlike Texas Hmm
