Help please finding a one-syllable girl's name to go with a three-syllable first name?
Sorry I don't want to give the first name away, but let's pretend it's Marilyn, since I think the same middle names would go (same intonation, 'vibe', ends in the same letter). Rose would work really well, but it's a bit popular at the mo, despite being a lovely name.

Dd has 3 syllables and is similar to Marilyn. Her 1st middle name is Jane.

Really scraping the barrell now
It is hard, isn't it LesBO?! I've only managed to come up with about three on my own.
Trouble is a lot of these names are short for something, and I'd prefer to use a 'whole' name, iykwim.
Interestingly no-one's suggested my name yet, which would actually fit the bill perfectly!

Ooh, I've never been LesBO before
. BOF is fine. In fact, try that for an idea
.
Hee hee! Sorry!! I didn't spot the capital F!
Kate, Jean/Joan would work well, and I really love the name Maud/e.
I'd really like to use a family name, but all the women in our families, apart from me, have long flowery names that just don't work.

Then why don't you use your name if it works, it's nice when the middle name has a family connection. I only have boys and my OH refused to use his in the middle or as a first name. I agree with the first name but it would have been nice as a middle. Their middle names are from other family members.
Are there any male family names or maiden names that would work?

Jane is always a good middle name. If your name is good and sounds right then maybe that is the perfect option.
I'd feel a bit weird about using my own name somehow! But it does work... hmmm.
Family maiden names are out, unfortunately, because the second middle name will be my surname, so I don't want her to have two surnames as middle names iyswim.
Also just realised I really can't use my name, since she would then have my full name as her middle names!

Ah - yes, that would be a bit odd!
Do any of the female family names have a nice shortened version, but again, you'd want to avoid anyone with your suname as that would be odd too
What about your OH does his name have a nice female version?
There are quite a lot of short 2 syllable names that might still work.
